INTRODUCTION

The Web Based Medical Diagnosis system is a system that helps the
user to get the appropriate information needed regarding overall
health conditions and in developing a better lifestyle .

This system is split into three main parts that comprise of Patient’s
Registration and Administration, Diagnosis and Treatment and
Health Monitor and Tips.
REVIEW OF LITERATURE

There have already been many works in this field.

Many hospitals in Taiwan and Malaysia already use
computer-based diagnosis system. Also, some
websites like sympotate.com works in the same way
as any web-based medical diagnosis system.
OMDS(THE PRESENT PROJECT)

The new system which we aim to develop is known as Online

Medical Diagnosis System. This system is an improvement upon
what was earlier achieved in the same field. It not only diagnoses
the patient but also provides health monitoring tips for the
patient until a doctor is made available. Also, since we are
working with a database, a patient can login with his userid and
password and download his medical history.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ?

The problem arises when we need doctors help

immediately, but they are not available due to some reason
such as the rural area of India the health facilities are far
fetched. So, due to the unavailability of medical team and
doctors people sometimes get misdiagnosed.

The procedure for diagnosing also consume a big amount

of time although the patients comes with a minor problem
that they can settle it by themselves if they have the right
help.
NEED OF THIS SYSTEM

Health is important no matter what country and region

we are from.

This system refers to those request or application that are

occupied on a server that is reachable using a web
browser and therefore reachable from various location via
web.
DEFINITION OF THE SYSTEM

This system is developed with the upcoming Language that is

widely used in developing the web or server based system.
Besides that, the database will be the open database
connectivity(ODBC) that goes with the language used.
WORKING PRINCIPLE OF THE SYSTEM

The system uses Three tier architecture. We provide a form

that shows a list of symptoms. From the listed symptoms, user
has to select those that he/she have. On the basis of selected
symptoms, the system will generate related diseases. If the
information for the disease is not enough the system will
redirect to give symptoms again.

RESULTS

The System does work like a human expert, which is able to

read and learn , and understand natural language inputs.
CONCLUSION

This Web Based Medical Diagnosis System holds the possible to

recover health outcomes as soon as possible by providing
sufficient information and treatment.
