 ZXA10 C600/650/680 are a series of OLT products based on

TITAN platform.
 ZXA10 C600 are large capacity optical access platform devices
 ZXA10 C650 are medium capacity optical access platform devices
 ZXA10 C680 are super large capacity optical access platform devices
 Service cards of these three products are same, and main

functions are synchronized.

Main Functions of ZXA10 C600 Series

 PON OLT: support GPON, XG-PON, Combo-PON, XGS-PON, EPON, 10G-
EPON and P2P accesses;
 L2 optical access platform: support Ethernet uplink and downlink,
complete convergence and forwarding of Ethernet traffic;
 L3 optical access platform: support L3 route, complete convergence and
forwarding of IP service, to realize access gateway function;
 Service access control: complete access control, traffic control and
service bearing for each user and each service;
 CLOS distributed architecture: provide no-blocking switch network, easy
to expand the capacity.
 Separation of control forwarding: control plane work as master/slave
mode, forwarding plane work as load share mode.
 FTTx network slice vOLT: support distribute each slice to different service
departments or virtual carriers, to share network infrastructures, while

Features of ZXA10 C600 System

 Large capacity, high bandwidth: 17 service slots at most, support to insert cards at the user
side and cards at the network side at random;
 buite-in CDN function: Content Delivery Network can be integrated in C600 to save the
bandwith.
 Density of ports: support 16-port GPON/EPON cards, 16-port 10GE cards, 16-port XG-
PON/Combo-PON/XGS-PON/10G-EPON cards;
 Unified platform of multiple access technologies: support XG-PON, GPON, Combo-PON,
XGS-PON, EPON and 10G-EPON. In future, it can be upgraded to 50/100G PON;
 L2 and L3 ability: have such protocol and service processing abilities as L2 switching, VLAN
service, L3 route, which can be configured flexibly, use different kinds of networking
scenarios;
 Multi-service access: support to access a variety of services such as VoiP, Internet-access,
IPTV, VPN;
 Complete service and device protection functions: support type-B PON protection, support

ZXA10 C600 Logic Structure

 The ZXA10 C600 system takes the backplane as the hub, to
connect various cards of the system together.
 Each service signal, clock signal and control signal takes the
switching control card as the core, to switch these signals from
each line card on the switching control card before transmitting
to the destination line card.

ZXA10 C600 Service Flow Forwarding

 Slow forwarding channel: Process protocol messages in service flows with CPU
participated, which can terminate at CPU, or can be inserted back to the
forwarding channel after processed by CPU, such as DHCP Snooping, ARP
inspection, and IGMP snooping.
 Fast forwarding channel: Switch and uplink through Ethernet of service interface
card, and switching control card. Take GPON service as the example. Message
forwarding process:
 Upstream GPON message decapsulates GEM on the service card, recovers Ethernet messages, and
switches to the uplink exit through Ethernet of the switching control card;
 Downstream Ethernet message, switch to the GPON card by the switching control card, GPON cards find
GEM ports according to configured service flow mapping rule, and encapsulate GEM port;
 TDM service completes PWE3 encapsulation in ONU, and switches to the uplink port through Ethernet of
the switching control card, to realize Ethernet bearing of TDM service.

management control center of C600, to complete control and
management of the whole system, and realize switching of a
variety of card data in the system without congestion.

Switching Control Card SFUL

 SFUL card is the switching control card of ZXA10 C600,
and it is the service switching center and management
control center of the system, to complete system control
and data switching functions. SFUL card works in active /
standby mode, and located in Slot 10 and 11 of a shelf.
 SFUL card can not be inserted into other slots.
 Interfaces of the switching control card are specified as

 PRVR adopts -48V/-60V DC power input, to

supply power for each card .
 ZXA10 C600 supports two power cards,
when input voltages of the two ports are
equal, two power cards work in the load
sharing mode.

 Be made up of fan control cards and fans, adopt exhaustion

mode to provide forced air-cooling for the system, can support
hot swapping, to facilitate on-site maintenance;
 main support following functions:
 According to system temperature, adjust fan speed, to prolong life-span of
fans
 Detect states of each fan's fault, and be able to automatically report to
EMS remotely
 Configure fan redundancy
 Highly reliable temperature control
