When these students enter the working environment they could face problems in variety
of areas. In working environment, one of the effective communication is speaking as it
can convey not only interactive communication but also other types of meanings through
tone of voice and emotions. Receiver and sender have chances to understand each other
faster the other modes of communication. As cited by Zaremba in Boonkit (2014), one
study showed that for new employees, speaking skills or communication skills were
useally more important than work experience, motivations, and academic credentials.
Nevertheless, many people still struggle with their communication skills, especially
English speaking skills, due to numerous reasons such as fear of speaking other
language and lack of understanding pronunciation.
They will feel nervous and unable to communicate with other effectively. The major
cause of communication apprehension identified is a low level of self-esteem
(McCroskey, 2014) Often instructors in a basic communication course will include peer
workshops or group work opportunities (e.g., think-pair-share, experiential activities) in
order to encourage participation from students.

These opportunities also contribute to shaping the classroom climate, which in the basic
communication course is important for all students, but in particular for students who
consider public speaking a top fear (Dwyer & Davidson, 2017). Scholars have
positioned opportunities for students to work and learn from peers as integral to student
learning in the classroom

RELATED LITERATURE & STUDIES
The (Nigerian National Policy on Education 2014), recognized education as an expensive social
service that requires adequate financial provision from all tiers of government for its successful
implementation. The role education play in economic development cannot be overemphasized,
hence the need for all hands to be on deck for proper development of the educational system.
Finance has been identified as one of the major challenge to educational achievement and
development for both individuals and the society at large.

Bernadette Johnson & Pauline Machika, 2014, entry into tertiary education for students from
poor backgrounds is an opportunity to change their economic status at a personal and family
level. But this becomes difficult to achieve when their economic conditions impact on their
ability to achieve academic success. Without adequate financial resources available in institutions
of higher learning, students' experiences of poverty may be only marginally alleviated, which
merely extends and in effect reproduces systemic conditions of poverty.
A budget is clearly the key to succeeding financially. Students think that a way to
pay for college is student loans, but there are other options like scholarships,
financial aid or work options. Some can take investing classes where students
can learn the process of investing and budgeting. As a student there are also other
things to spend on, it can be wants or needs not just school supplies. Most people
recommend parents to have a long-term planning for their teen. (Caldwell, 2017).
