Gorge, NE of Mitta Khattak village (320 48’ N; 710 09’ E)
Lithology
Interbedded conglomerate, sandstone and siltstone
Conglomerate; at the base having well sorted pebble and cobbles (yellowish brown, limestone of
sakessar limestone, quartzite, granite )
Sandstone; above conglomerate is sanstone; yellowish brown, fine grained
Siltstone; overlies the sandstone, which is thick sequence reddish brown abundant at top
Thickness/Distribution
Formation is restricted to Surghar Range, SW extremity about 100m thick and pinches out
laterally towards eastern margin
