A drone is something like a flying robot. The aircrafts are usually
controlled from a dedicated remote unit and they can manage all
things in air due to an intelligent software program. It possesses
so many on board working sensors like GPS etc. that assists in
proper flight mode controls.
• Origin of a drone can betraced with special techniques to
provide relevant information to military.

• The very first aircraft with reusable type radio control

mechanism was designed in thirties and it worked like a
base model for all new advancements of today's world.

• Later, the military drones were developed with classic

sensors and camera units and now they have been fixed
inside missiles too.
Why do we use drones in
construction???

During the construction phase, drones have

many current and potential uses. They help to
track and communicate progress, track and
manage materials and assets, reduce theft,
improve owner visibility, increase safety, and
provide valuable information for improving
design changes.

Fixed Wing Drone
• are designed like more traditional types of aircraft

• made of a central body that has two wings and a

single propeller.

• less common in drone mapping outside of agriculture

and oil & gas applications

such as pipeline inspections. - not as well suited for area
mapping.
Multi-Rotor Aircraft
• used drone models for making maps

• Once in the air, a multi-rotor drone uses fixed-pitch propeller blades to

control the vehicle motion by varying the relative speed of each rotor to
change the thrust and torque produced, allowing a unique range of
movement.

• This presents some advantages when used for commercial mapping.

Advantages Disadvantages

• Lower price:
• Less stable in the wind:
- come with a lower price tag than
their fixed wing counterparts. - The aerodynamics of multi-
rotor aircraft leaves them more
• More compact: vulnerable to wind.
- They are designed to fold down and
pack up into smaller cases
• Ease-of-use:
- easier to fly for both humans and
autopilots.
- capable of making movements in any
direction
