ToolboxST is used to configure and troubleshoot


the MarkVIe controller
ToolboxST deals with all Mark Ve components for
a site in one program

Licensing

ToolboxST requires no license to install


The ToolboxST application will not start without a
USB UPD key
The drivers for the UPD key are included with
ToolboxST.
ToolboxST must be installed before inserting the
UPD for the first time.

ToolboxST Configuration Files Location

All of the files reside on one HMI server usually


the EWS. All other HMI servers map to the EWS.
This is the M:\ drive

The ToolboxST files are located M:\xxx\xxx.tcw


Where xxx is the site name
Note: the folder name and .tcw name must match! ie SCEG
Each device has its own folder. Do not try to edit .xml files
Do not manually move files using windows explorer

The system editor contains all of the devices in


your configuration.
To start the system editor
> Start
> Programs
> GE ControlST
> ToolboxST
> ToolboxST

To configure the system editor options
> Open the System editor
> Select Options
> Select Settings

The Component editor is used to Configure and


troubleshoot a MarkVIe controller
To open a MarkVIe controller component editor
> Double click on the controller icon from the
tree view of the system editor

Summary View Area

The information in the summary view tracks the


item selected in the tree view

Property Editor Area
Property Editor allows you to view and edit the
properties of a selected item in the tree view

Changing the Property value of an object

From the property editor click in the


value field
> Click the ellipsis button to change the
value thru a dialog box
> Click the drop down button to change
the value thru a drop down box
> Or enter text or numbers directly into
the field

Component Info View Area

Log tab – displays messages related to user


commands or system events
Status Tab – Displays operating state and equality
information from a MarkVIe controller

History Tab – Keeps a navigation history for each


user session
Where Used Tab – tracks variables selected in the
tree view or summary view and lists other places
in the software where the variable is used

finder
Info Tab – Displays Help information if available
for the item selected in the tree or summary view

Connecting to a Controller

From the component editor toolbar


click on the online button
If the controller is redundant you will
get this type of dialog box allowing the
user to select what processor to
connect

Verifying Controller State and Equality
It is important to verify the controller state =
controlling
It is also important to verify that the controller and
DDR equality = Equal
