Evolution
• Evolution = The gradual development of
something
Natural Selection (Survival for the fittest) organisms with traits
2 best suited to their
environment are more
likely to survive and
reproduce
Origin of Species

Unknown
Ancestral
1 many species of organisms presently inhabiting
Earth are descendants of ancestral species that
were different from the modern species.

Descendant
• 4 billion years ago a ball of a rock and dust spins in the frozen
vacuum of space.
• The water turned with chemical and organic compounds
• They all combined at a right time, at a right place to from a
genetic material and first living cell came into being.
• 3.5 billion years ago, they started copying themselves to
create a perfect clone . This is the very first living thing.
• 2 billion years the only living thing was a cell. The two cells
marched, they cloned themselves.
• 515 million years ago, a warm came into being , which is us
now.
• They were blind in the beginning .
• NATURAL SELECTION
• Natural realization
When it actually accrued?
• This question is difficult to answer because we
can't replay the past with a stopwatch in hand.
However, we can try to figure out what
patterns we'd expect to observe in the fossil
record if evolution did happen in bursts, or if
evolution happened gradually. Then we can
check these predictions against what we
observe.
Misconception
Misconceptions about humans

The points described above cause the most problems

when it comes to human evolution. The phylogeny of
living species most closely related to us looks like this:

It is important to remember that Humans did not evolve

from chimpanzees. Humans and chimpanzees are
evolutionary cousins and share a recent common
ancestor that was neither chimpanzee nor human.

Central Idea
• The central idea of biological evolution is that
all life on Earth shares a common ancestor,
just as you and your cousins share a common
grandmother.
• Evolution means that we're all distant cousins:
humans and oak trees, hummingbirds and
whales.
??????
• Is it a Theory or a Fact?
• Darwin's Letter to his friend, Sir Thomas
Thompton, 1861: “ I believe in the theory of
evolution, not because I have proof, but
because it helps me in classification,
Morphology, Embryology, and rudimentary
organs.. at his travel to island Galapagos.
Scientists view
• Albert Szent-Györgyi von (The Noble Prize winner)
• Over 500 doctoral scientists have now signed a statement
publicly expressing their skepticism about the
contemporary theory of evolution
• Dr. John G. West, associate director of Discovery Institute's
Center for Science & Culture
• "Darwin's theory of evolution is the great white elephant of
contemporary thought," said Dr. David Berlinski, one of the
original signers, a mathematician and philosopher of
science with Discovery Institute's Center for Science and
Culture (CSC). "It is large, almost completely useless, and
the object of superstitious awe."
4- The theory of Evolution doesn't explain the beauty,
harmony and diversity of the creation
What about the variety of butterflies? Did it happen just at random?
4- The theory of Evolution doesn't explain the beauty,
harmony and diversity of the creation
According to the laws of Natural Selection, there is no reason why there is such a variety of
flowers (variety of colors, of smells, of sizes, of shapes). Evolutionists have no plausible
explanation about this.
What about Lucy ?
Discovered in 1974, the 3.2 million-year-old skeleton was found in an
isolated spot in the Afar region of Ethiopia. It was given the name of
Lucy and was claimed to be the bones of a transitional half
monkey/half human.

- “Johanson seldom reminds us that he found the knee joint—

the strongest evidence for upright stance—in a location
some two to three kilometers away, and in a layer of rock
some 200 feet lower. Clearly, the knee does not belong with
the rests.” Oxnard, in his 1987 book, ”Fossils, Teeth and Sex ”
“Several investigators, including Richard Leakey, have now concluded that two or perhaps
three species have been wrongly combined in "Lucy." She was not a human ancestor. At best,
she was a form of extinct ape; at worst, she was a mosaic.” From John D. Morris, Ph.D in
http://www.icr.org/article/was-lucy-ape-man/
(In April 2015, the American Museum of Natural History found out that one of the bones
was from a baboon monkey.)
Now most scientists recognize Lucy to be from a species of ape rather than a
human intermediary.
