OSCILLOSCOPE
Function of
Oscilloscope
▹Display voltage signals as waveforms,
visual representations of the variation
of voltage over time. The signals are
plotted on a graph, which shows how
the signal changes. The vertical (Y)
access represents the voltage
measurement and the horizontal (X)
axis represents time.
What is
oscilloscope?
▹a laboratory instrument commonly
used to display and analyze the
waveform of electronic signals. In
effect, the device draws a graph of the
instantaneous signal voltage as a
function of time.
What is
frequency?
▹Frequency describes the number of
waves that pass a fixed place in a
given amount of time. So if the time it
takes for a wave to pass is is 1/2
second, the frequency is 2 per second.
If it takes 1/100 of an hour, the
frequency is 100 per hour.
function of each button on the oscilloscope
1 Power On/OFF
2 Indicator lamp
3 Rotation, serves to adjust the position of the line display on the screen to
remain in the horizontal position
4 Intensity
5 Focus
6 Cal, serves to calibrate the voltage peak to peak
7 Position, serves to set the Vertical position
8 INV (Invert) functions to reverse the input signal
9 VOLT switch, serves to adjust the voltage percentimeter
10 Variable, serves to adjust the sensitivity (sentivitas) vertical direction on the
channel in question
11 AC-DC function to set what signal to be measured AC-DC
17 Position,
12 GND, serves to activate the input channel for grounding
18 XY, works for 1 channel input to X axis and input 2 becomes Axis Y
13 Vertical Input CH-1
19 TIME / DIV Switch
14 Vertical Input CH-2
20 CAL button
15 Mode switches, there are 4 options: CH1, CH2, Dual and ADD (CH = channel)
21 Variable, serves to manage sensitivity (sensitivity) TIME / DIV
16 x 10 MAG, to zoom in 22 GND, serves to connect to the ground
23 CHOP and ALT buttons, CHOP as chanel pieces, and ALT as replacements
24 HOLD OFF, serves to silence the image
25 LEVEl, serves to mute still images and move
26 NORM and Auto keys
27 LOCK Button
28 The COUPLING switch functions to indicate the directional (DC) and AC connection
29 Source switches
30 Trigger ALT
31 Slope
32 EXIT
