JAYPEE HOSPITAL
• JAYPEE Hospital is a 1150-bedded Tertiary Care Hospital founded by Mr.
J.P. Aggarwal in 2006.
• The hospital is situated at Noida which consists of Medical college, Medical
Hospital, Dental hospital and Training center, Boys and Girls Hostels.
• Site Area : 186760 Sq. M. / 46.1 ACRE
• The hospital block is spread over an area of 8950 Sq. M / 2.2 ACRE.
• It is a teaching medical hospital with 550+ medical staff.
• The hospital in total has 26 departments.
LOCATION AND CONNECTIVITY
• The site is located in Noida

• Located at a distance of 6 km
from okhla bird sentury metro
station

DESIGN CHALLENGES
• The foremost challenge is to deal
with the hot and humid climate of
noida
•`
• As it was at a distance from main
city, they had to provide more
parking and waiting area with
more area for vehicular
movement.

• Vertical movement of patients had to be controlled and made feasible.


• Bio waste management being the important issue, was to be managed.
• Major power backup of building had to be introduced.
DESIGN FEATURES AND CONCEPT
• The building block is placed on East - West axis and the major facades
are facing towards North and South.
• The building was I shaped, hence leading to mutual shading of the
building and creating open courtyard.
• Large green space in front of the hospital building which acted as a
sound barrier between the noida expressway and the building.
• Big size windows were planned on the north façade, allowing ample
amount of daylight.
• Some Staircase and Ramps were projected out of the building and
were open to air and can be used in case of fire.
• Separate entry porch for Emergency.
• The main entrance lobby was double heighted.
• Pickup point for public transport right in front of main entrance.
• Separate service entry.
CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY
• The building is made of column beam structure.
• Exterior façade is finished in plaster and weather proof paint.
• Cement jail were used in ramps and various areas.
• Granite was used in flooring in combination with ceramic tiles.
• Granite was also used for making platforms.
• All the windows were aluminum slider panels with glass in between.
• All the AC ducts and cable tray were suspended to ceiling and covered with false
ceiling.
• Anti bacterial paint and anti-bacterial false ceiling panels .
