Implementation of EMS at BSP
• Currently EMS has been implemented in 37
shops, Township & Dalli Mechanized Mines as
per ISO:14001:2004 version.
• Revised EMS:14001:2015 was published in
September, 2015.
• All the Organizations certified under 2004
version need to migrate to revised version by
September,2018.
What is new in EMS:2015 version

• ISO 14001:2015 is be based on high level


structure (HLS) that brings a common
framework to all management systems
– This helps to keep consistency, align different
management system standards, offer matching sub-
clauses against the top-level structure and apply
common language across all standards.

• Ensure commonality in developing procedures as per New standard

• Helping the departmental coordinators in revision of the manuals.
• Organizing awareness trainings
• Conducting internal audits

4.1 Understanding the organization and
its context

The organization must determine external


and internal issues relevant to its purpose
and that affect its ability to achieve the
intended outcome(s) of its EMS
Environmental Conditions: climate, air quality, land
use, existing contamination, natural resource
availability, biodiversity, etc.

When planning the EMS, the organization shall
