A.Introduction
Water is one of the essential requirements for life
since our body compose of 70% of water . All
living things need water for their survival. Water
used for variety of purposes one of this is for
drinking, our body needs water,a clean and safe
water to drink but sad to say, reality shows that
more than one thousand million people
worldwide,mostly in developing country,such as
our country, there's a lack of safe drinking water.
Aside from that, water now is contaminated
and that maybe cause a hudred of diseases.

Beneficiaries of the project are the whole residence of
Siay Municipality. With proper management, it will give
them abundant supply of safe and clean water which will
also prevent them from being afflicted by diseases caused
by contaminated water. The easy access to a potable
water supply will also result to savings in time in fetching
drinking water, therefore, would give time to residents to
accomplish other profitable tasks
F. Short Description
Water is essential for sustaining life and
access to drinking water is a fundamental
need and a human right, vital for health and
well-being. The health and economic benefits
of improved water supplies to households
and individuals (especially women, children
and older people) are well documented,
particularly if the target population is
characterised by high levels of poverty, social
exclusion and a lack of civil rights ._x0000_
Almost 1.1 billion people in the world do not have
access to improved water supplies and many of these
people are without access to “safe drinking water”
supplies (WHO, 2005). In addition, burden of disease
data from the World Health Organisation, suggests
that 1.8 million deaths and 61.9 million disability-
adjusted life years worldwide are due to unsafe
water, sanitation and hygiene (WHO, 2004). In
developing countries, 98% of deaths are due to
unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene of which 90% of
these deaths are children (WHO, 2004). _x0000_
In accordance with many other
international research studies, the AUB /
UNRWA report shows the close correlation
between a poorly built environment and
endemic health burden. In this context,
contaminated water supplies contribute to
the dissemination of gastrointestinal diseases
among the population, which
disproportionately affects young children and
people with deficient immune
systems._x0000_
However, the provision of adequate water
supply services in terms of quality and
quantity is not so much a technical issue, but
a financial one. In recent years, UNRWA has
initiated a range of infrastructural
improvements including the upgrading of
water supply systems. As part of this process,
this proposal is made for us to be aware and
not just to us but to the government either.
