Symptom
Symptoms are negative symptoms that occur in a person, group,
organization, or other entities that require a solution,
symptom (in disease) is an indication of the presence of an unwanted
disease or health disorder, in the form of signs or characteristics of the
disease and can be felt, such as feelings of nausea or dizziness.
Cause of disease
1. Virus
2. Bacteri
3. Mushroom
4. Parasite
Diseases caused by viruses
1. Cold are the most common disease with symptoms such as sneezing, laryngitis, nasal congestion,
and coughing. Children under 6 years are at high risk of colds.
2. Flu Usually flu has more serious symptoms than cold symptoms. Fever, headaches, muscle aches,
fatigue, chills, nausea, and vomiting are some examples of flu symptoms. The flu generally spreads
more easily during the rainy season, because the humid climate can support the spread of the flu
virus well
3. Chicken pox This disease is caused by the varicella-zoster virus and is most commonly experienced
by children under 15 years but can also occur in adults. Those who have had chickenpox can get
shingles a few years later.
4. Chikungunya The chikungunya virus is spread by the same mosquito as the mosquito that spreads
dengue hemorrhagic fever virus and zika virus. This virus can also spread through the blood.
Diseases caused by bacteria
1. Sepsis is a dangerous complication due to infection. Complications of this infection
can cause blood pressure to drop dramatically and damage many organs. Both of
these can cause death.
2. Meningitis is an infection of the protective membrane of the brain and spinal cord.
Meningitis caused by bacteria has the potential to damage the brain and cause
death, while those caused by viruses are generally lighter. Meningitis usually
occurs due to an infection in other parts of the body, such as the ear, sinus cavity, or
throat, which spread to the brain.
3. Tuberculosis or TB is caused by bacteria that mainly attack the lungs, but can also
attack other organs such as bones, brain, kidneys, and skin. TB is a contagious and
potentially life-threatening disease.
Disease caused by fungi
1. Candidiasis is caused by a Candida fungal infection. Under normal
conditions, the fungus lives naturally on the surface of the skin. But
if the development is not controlled, the fungus will cause infection.
2. Ringworm is caused by a type of fungus that lives in the soil,
namely epidermophyton, microsporum, and trichophyton. A person
can become infected if it touches the soil contaminated by the
fungus. Spread can occur between animals to humans, or from
human to human.
Diseases caused by parasites
1. Amoeba, for example Entamoeba which causes amubiasis.
2. Flagellates, for example Giardia causes giardiasis or Leishmania
causes leishmaniasis.
3. Siliata, for example Balantidium which causes balantidiasis.
4. Sporozoa, for example Toxoplasma causes toxoplasmosis,
Plasmodium causes malaria, or Cryptosporidium causes
cryptosporidiosis.
Ways to prevent disease
1. Wash your hands regularly. Especially before eating, before and after
preparing food, after coughing / sneezing, changing diapers, and after
using the toilet.
2. Cover your nose and mouth when coughing / sneezing and throw the used
tissue in the trash.
3. Keep food safe. Clean your hands and kitchen surface regularly,
separating raw and cooked food. Cook food until it boils to kill bacteria.
4. Vaccination or immunization is the right way to protect yourself from
serious infections. Make sure all members have the necessary
vaccinations.
5. Clean and eradicate germs on the surface of objects at home, especially
those that come in contact with food and other common objects such as
water faucets, door handles and telephone buttons.
