• Tardiness is one of the most common causes that affect the
lives of the high school students.

• This study will provide information about tardiness, what

causes it, the probable consequences of being tardy, and
possible solutions to overcome, or at least help the high
school students regarding their problem of being late.
• Tardiness has already become a habit of the high school
students. Most of them come to school, attend their classes
and not on time

• Lateness to school started long ago, every where in a way

that cannot be controlled in recent time.
• Lateness merely means arriving after expected time.

• This study will focus attention on the effects for the

students’ tardiness and to find solution to this problem.
• Social media is the main reason of the students’ tardiness.

• The teachers doesn’t give punishment to the late comers.

• Parents tolerate their children to use gadgets even if it’s

already late.
• Parents should confiscate the phones every night so that
they can sleep early and attend class on time.

• Those teachers who attend the first subject could give

some punishment if his/her students attend his/her class
late, often.

• Give limit on using gadgets.

• The purpose of the study is to know the reasons why the
students doesn’t attend their class on time.

• To lessen the number of the latecomers so that more time

will save and more lessons will be discuss.

• This study found that social media is the main reason
why students are always late in their classes. Aside from
social media, watching television is one of the reasons
why they stay up late every night. Based on the result of
our interview, majority of them always sleep at 11:00
p.m.

• We’ve found out that most of the teachers doesn’t give

any punishment to the late comers so we assumed that
this is one of the reasons why students keep on attending
their classes late.
• But there are some teachers who gives punishment like –
making the student stand outside the classroom, assigning
them to be the cleaners for the whole week amd giving
them extra activity
• Late students coming to class distracts the teacher’s
discussion.

• The first class has the perfect opportunity for the

instructors to tell or remind their students about coming
late in class.

• Teachers can make a policy and consequences to those late

students or ask them the reason why they are always late.

• The school should develop a firm and well-established
policy that handling late students and monitor or record
the students’ attendance and maintain the guideline policy
annually.

• The parents of the late comers can confiscate the phones

every night so that they can sleep early and attend class on
time.
• Those teachers who attend the first subject could give

late , often.

• Another one is the teacher can also give some incentives to

encourage the late comers to attend their class on time.
• Routine- In general, too much routine produces boredom.
As instructor you can avoid routine by using some
instructional methods during a class session and across a
semester.

• Departure- The action of leaving

• Persistent- Continuing firmly.

• Pertinent- Other applicable or relevant document.

• Punctuality- A behaviour of students in which they arrive

at the school on time.

• Tardiness- Is the quality of being late. When people don’t

show up on time.
