IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
An adequate irrigation system supplies the necessary amount of water at
the time it is needed, moistening the soil to the depth required by the
crop.
TYPES OF IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS
1.FERTIRRIGATION:
The fertirrigación is very used in the commercial agriculture and the horticulture and begins to
use in general applications to the landscape.

Fertigation is used to provide additional nutrients or make a correction of nutrient deficiencies

that are detected in a tissue analysis of the plants.
TYPES OF IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS
2. HYDROPONIC IRRIGATION
• It provides the root system with a constant humidity level at all times, independent of
the climate or the growth stage of the crop.
• Reduces the risks derived from excess irrigation, such as root asphyxia.
• It provides a better planning and operation of the plantation.
• Easy automation and programming of the system in variable levels.
• Optimizes the expenditure of water and fertilizers.
TYPES OF IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS
3. NEBULIZACION IRRIGATION:
The nebulizers produce fine mist, the pressurized water exits through a
hole of small diameter, so that the produced jet crashes against a concave
wall that sends it off and distributes it in a nebulized form. These systems
usually work with relatively high pressures.

4. BY DRIPPING IRRIGATION:

Drip irrigation or drop by drop irrigation is an irrigation method that allows an

optimal application of water and fertilizers in the agricultural systems of the
arid zones. Applied water infiltrates the soil, irrigating the root zone directly
through a system of pipes and emitters.
TYPES OF IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS
5. SPRINKLER IRRIGATION:

It is one of the most widespread types in

recent years because its installation is
possible in virtually any topography. Its
efficiency is greater and allows greater
water savings, but its cost is higher because
it can even automate.
TYPES OF IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS
6. AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION:

It saves time and provides a concrete and

effective irrigation, being one of the most
comfortable and productive options for
watering, but to really be profitable it is
very important to pay attention to its
organization and design. In this article we
explain how to do it in detail.
CONCLUSIONS
• These irrigation systems are thrifty, we do not mean that little is invested in labor, after installation the
system works alone, does not require physical efforts.
• Use the water necessary to nourish the crops.
• It does not need electricity or gas to start working.
• As there are several types of irrigation, you can choose the one that best suits the land that will be used for
the plants.
• It works at any time of the year, of course, it is used when it is not rainy weather.
• You can plan the time in which you plant the crop and install the irrigation system to obtain healthy plants.
• These systems provide security that the investment in the crop and in the installation of irrigation is not lost.
• It favors the care of the environment, with other water system is wasted, with this it is unlikely that more
water is used than adequate.
• Its time of use is long, it can last years of operation and requires maintenance, but it is not constant.
