commercial vehicles. They also deal in the genuine products of leading manufacturers
including Bridgestone, Michelin, Yokohama, Goodyear, Apollo, CEAT, Amaron, Exide, Mobil,
Shell, Motul, 3M, Hella, Bosch, Sparco, Neo, Tiara, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Ford, Mahindra &
Mahindra, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, TVS and Royal Enfield. The service offerings include wash
and detailing, paint and body shop, wheel alignment, balancing, polishing, painting, service
and repairs, tubeless repair, nitrogen fill-up and top-up. It is operational from 08:00 - 18:00

 MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

This Department is responsible for

inspection and mentioning of car
details etc. before taking the car to the
workshops. Employees of this
department are responsible for
conversation with the automobile
owner and completing the paper
formalities before further processing.
The HR and GM are also included in
this department. They are responsible
for recruiting the staff and managing
the lower division staff.
INSURANCE DEPARTMENT
 SERVICE WORKSHOP
Service workshop consist
of all the tools and
equipment which are
required for servicing and
maintenance. After the
inspection of car it is taken
to this workshop for
change of parts, service,
accidental repair etc.
 BODY WORKSHOP
This workshop works on
the body dents and
change of body outer
parts if damaged.
Before changing the
engine components in
service workshop all the
dent repairs are first
eliminated in this shop.
 WASHING WORKSHOP
After the service is done, it’s
the time now to wash the car
with high pressurized water
equipment and then cleaning
the interior with pneumatic
tools and applying the polish
wherever required. Now its
costumer time to take it away
with the greetings for the
next visit .
 SPARE SHOP
This shop includes all the
genuine accessories of
Maruti cars. This shop is
operated by a manager
who checks the no of
parts on the computer
and consecutively update
the components table
after giving the parts to
the workmen.
SERVICE MAP:
Inspection, clean up, lubrication, adjustment, alignment, calibration, replacement, or replenishment (of
consumables) to prolong an asset'suseful life, prevent its breakdown, and keep it capable of performing
its intended function within its design specifications.
There are two types of services: -

A company gives three free services: -
 First Free Service
 Second Free Service

3.1 FIRST FREE SERVICE
•The first service is done at 1000km.
•It includes oil level check, tyre pressure check, coolant level check, air & a/c filter clean (change as
per condition) , batterywater level check , underbody tight , brakes etc.
•Its free of cost.
3.2 SECOND FREE SERVICE
It is done at 5000 km
It includes general test and wheel alignment.
It’s free of cost.
THIRD SERVICE
It’s done at 10,000km.
Its includes general check up , engine oil change , oil filter change , drain nut change etc.
It is free of cost (mechanic charge).
SERVICE COMPONENTS
AIR FILTER
A particulate air filter is a device composed
of fibrous or porous materials which
removes solid particulates such as dust,
pollen and bacteria from the air. Filters
containing an absorbent or catalyst such as
charcoal (carbon) may also remove odors
and gaseous pollutants such as volatile
organic compounds or ozone.

AC FILTER
It's typically located behind the glove
compartment or under the hood or
dashboard on most modern vehicle. Its
job is to filter all of the air that comes
through the car's HVAC system to
prevent pollutants, such as dust,
pollen, smog and mold spores from
entering
CASE STUDY:-
WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Alignment refers to an adjustment of a

vehicle's suspension – the system that
connects a vehicle to its wheels. It is not
an adjustment of the tires or wheels them
Selves. The key to proper alignment is
adjusting the angles of the tires which
affect how they make contact with the
road.

OIL FILTER
An oil filter is a filter designed to remove
contaminants from engine oil,
transmission oil, lubricating oil, or
hydraulic oil. Oil filters are used in many
different types of hydraulic machinery
ENGINE OIL
Motor oil may be composed of only a
lubricant base stock in the case of
non-detergent oil, or a lubricant base
stock plus additives to improve the
oil's detergency, extreme pressure
performance, and ability to inhibit
corrosion of engine parts.

FUEL FILTER
A fuel filter is a filter in the fuel line
that screens out dirt and rust particles
from the fuel, normally made into
cartridges containing a filter paper.
They are found in most internal
combustion engines
CONCLUSION
My four-week attachment with TR SAWHNEY
MOTORS has been one of the most productive and
instructive experience in my life . Through this
training I have gained the automotive service and
maintenance skills and knowledge. All this valuable
experience and knowledge that we have gained were
not only through the direct involvement in the task
but also through other aspects of training such as :
work observation , advisors etc., As a result of this of
this training we are more confident to build our future
career.
