What is climate change?

Climate change occurs when changes in Earths climate system result in new
weather patterns that remain in place for an extended period of time. This
length of time can be as short as a few decades to as long as million of years.
According to Greta, we are living at
the beginning of mass extinction. Out
climate is breaking down but we can
still fix this

1. Globe climate change has already had observable
effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk ,
ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier , plant
and animals ranges have shifted and trees are
flowering sooner.
2. Effects that scientists had predicted in the past
would result from global climate change are now
occurring; loss of sea ice, accelerated sea-level rise
and longer, more intense heat waves.
3. Global climate is projected to continue to change
over this century and beyond. The magnitude of
climate change beyond the next few decades
depends primarily on the amount of heat-trapping
gases emitted globally, and how sensitive the
Earth’s climate is to those emissions

WAYS TO PROTECT THE
ENVIRONMENT
 PROTECT
 Solar Panels: An increasing number of people are fitting
solar panels to their houses. Photovoltaic (PV) solar
panels create electricity from sunlight, which can then
be used to power their houses.
 Decentralization of Industry: Most of the pollutants
come from industrial garbage. Industry should be set up
far from the cities.
 Rain Gain: Collecting rainwater in a water butt in your
garden is a great way of collecting and re-using the
water to keep plants healthy in the summer.
 Save trees: Save trees by recycling your own paper.
Paper with a clean side can be made into notepads with
a simple staple or a hole to tie a piece of string. These
are great for doodles and notes. If you are buying paper,
buy recycled paper.
RESTORATION

 Start afforestation and stop deforestation.

 Stop using products which releases CFC to stop global
warming and ozone depletion.
 Use CNG instead of petrol and diesel.
 Use CNG instead of burning coal, wood and fossil fuels.
 Start cycling or walking to short distances.
 Use carpool or common transport system.
