FAMILY DIET SURVEY
 Our postings were dated from 26/3/19 to 24/4/19.

 This is a brief summary of what we have done and learnt in the past 22 working days.

 Our posting started off with the diet survey conducted for 3 consecutive days in Kaza village of
Mangalagiri.

 We communicated with the people of the village and learnt about their dietary patterns, their
lifestyle, socio-economic status, etc.

 This also helped us to develop our communicatory skills and knowledge about the society.

 We also got an opportunity to advise the people to take a better balanced diet, to maintain better
hygiene, for their better health conditions, which is the primary duty of a doctor.

 Based on the information we gathered we could figure out their nutritional status and accordingly,
their dietary needs.

 It was the very first and the best experience to

shoot a film and also release it on the social
media platforms which also promoted the
concept of health education.
 As planned earlier, the programme was
held at the library level-1 and the mini
auditorium.
 We could interact with students of all the
batches, and also the Professors.
 This programme was mainly helpful to
bring out the hidden talents, creativity,
planning, teamwork, communication, etc.
School health survey
 A school health survey was conducted in The Government
Primary School in Kaza village.
 We interacted with the teacher and the children to get to
know about the school.
 We gathered information about the childrens’ health status
and the school’s physical structure, environment, and it’s
sanitation.
 On interacting with the children, we got to know more
about their lifestyle, and their mentality.
 We also instructed a few kids about their dental problems,
and their personal hygiene.
 We also learnt about the prevailing conditions and the
defecities of a school in rural areas.
COCA-COLA INDUSTRIAL VISIT
DIABETES AND
HYPERTENSION AWARENESS
PROGRAMME
 Under the guidance of Dr. Shiva Reddy sir and Dr. Tulasi ma’am, we
had planned to perform a small skit on the awareness of the two most
prevailing non communicable diseases in our society.

 In the process of preparation we could learn more about the risk

factors, symptoms, and signs of the diseases.

 Few of us were involved in the script making, dialogue writing, and

acting, while the rest of us were involved in the chart and prop making.
 In the process of preparation, we could improve our acting skills, our
dialogue delivery, our creativity and art.
 We performed the skit in the department.
 We could rectify the mistakes in our skit, and improvise it in all the possible
ways, based on the advises given by the faculty members.
 We performed the skit in the hospital reception, and hoped it would
influence atleast a few patients to lead a healthy lifestyle to prevent the
occurrence of these diseases.
 Mainly, it not only helped in the betterment of our knowledge in subject, but
also helped us know about the local nomenclature.
 We could learn that performing a skit is the best method of educating the
people about any issue.
