Classification of Fiction Prose:
TYPES OF POETRY
1. Narrative poetry – poems that tell a story
which characters, setting, and various
elements of plot.
2.Lyric Poetry – expresses the feelings,
attitudes and thoughts of a poet or a person
within a work.
Drama – tells a story through actions and dialogues.
Types of drama:
1. Tragedy – a serious play in which the characters meet with the
disaster, either because of a personal fault or through events that
cannot be helped.
2. Comedy – a light amusing play that leads into a happy ending.
3. Romantic Comedy – focused closely on two lovers in their
struggle to achieve happiness.
4. Satiric Comedy – a type of comedy in which human actions are
exposed and exaggerated, often in cruel fashion.
5. Sentimental Comedy – designed to elicit the sentimental
emotions of the audience through the depiction off stock
characters.
