HAPPINESS PROJECT 3.0

We have to recruit 3,000 volunteers out of 30,000 applicants who will be


accountable to promote happiness among people. Volunteers will not
receive salary but the applicants have expressed their willingness to
promote happiness in the community. Few of them are illiterate and many
of them do not have education above matriculation. The entire selection
will be completed within a period of two months with the aid of
technology.

• What will be the criteria/ dimensions/ parameters/ components/variables to


recruit volunteers?
• What will be the items/questions/indicators to measure each criteria/
dimension/parameter/ variable?
• How technology can be used for such selection?

Pre-examination Training: To provide training facilities to enhance
the abilities of candidates who lack computer literacy.

Thematic Apperception Test (TAT).
Altruistic Test
This test was developed by psychologist Gary S. Nickell of
Moorhead State University. A set of questions are used to
determine a person's altruistic nature.
Answer to the below questions should be given as
a) Strongly Disagree
b) Disagree
c) Undecided
d) Agree
e) Strongly agree

1) If possible, I would return lost money to the rightful owner.


2) I would avoid aiding someone in a medical emergency if I could.
3) Helping friends & family is one of the great joys in life.
4) I try to offer my help with any activities my community or school
groups are carrying out.
5) Volunteering to help someone is very rewarding.
6) I rarely contribute money to a worthy cause.
7) Doing volunteer work makes me feel happy.
8) Unless they are part of my family, helping the elderly isn't my
respoinsibility.
9) When given the opportunity, I enjoy aiding others who are in need.
10) Children should be taught about the importance of helping others.
11) I dislike giving directions to strangers who are lost.
12) I donate time or money to charities every month.
13) I plan to donate my organs when I die with the hope that they will
help someone else live.

Verbal Communication .
PHASE 2: THEMATIC APPERCEPTION TEST

The projective personality test that captures the respondent’s thoughts,


concerns and motives based on stories they create to explain the vague
and provocative pictures.

It taps a subject’s unconscious mind to reveal repressed aspects of


personality, need for achievement, power and intimacy and problem
solving abilities.

• Close analysis of stories gives the specialist a decent idea of the
personality traits and emotional control towards different aspects of
life

The scoring attempts to measure the following information:


• Story Design - measures ability to identify and formulate a problem
situation.
• Story Orientation – assesses level of personal control, emotional
distress, confidence and motivation
• Story Solution – assesses impulsiveness of the examinee
• Story Resolution – examines ability to formulate and maximize long
and short term solutions
Technology used for recruitment
 The slot allocation, attendance,
scheduling, and performance
evaluation of the applicants are
done using ERP solutions .

 Altruistic Test would be conducted
