WHATIS AN ADVERBOF FREQUENCY?
✓Adverbsof frequency tell us how often something is done.
✓An adverb of frequency is exactly what it sounds like – an
adverboftime.
✓Adverbs of frequency always describe how often
something occurs,either in definite or indefinite terms.
✓An adverb that describes definite frequency is one such as
weekly, daily, or yearly. An adverb describing indefinite
frequency doesn’t specify an exact time frame; examples
are always,sometimes,often, andrarely.

1.- Adverbs of frequency usually go before the main verb.

Adverbs of frequency come after the verb be: am, is, are
FRECUENCY ADVERBS: POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE
NEGATIVE FORM ADVERB OF FREQUENCY WITH VERB BE: (am, is, are)
NEGATIVE FORM: ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY
If the auxiliary verb is negative the adverb of frequency might
go before or after it:

✓ He usually doesn’t cook at home.
✓ They don’t often go to the cinema.
✓ They often don’t go to the cinema.
✓ I don’t always eat junk food.
✓ I always don’t eat junk food.
POSITION OF FREQUENCY ADVERBS
Frequency Adverbs can be placed either at the beginning or end of the sentence.

We can also use the following adverbs at the start of a sentence:

POSSESSIVE NOUNS

Examples:
The car of John = John's car.
The room of the girls = The girls' room.
Clothes for men = Men's clothes.
The sister of Charles = Charles's sister.
The boat of the sailors = The sailors' boat.
But we use ’s with other pluralnouns:

✓ These are men’s shoes.


✓ Children’s clothes are very expensive.

We can use a possessive instead of a noun phrase to avoid


repeating words:

Isthat George’scar? No, it’s Mary’s [car]. No, it’s Mary’s.


Whosecoatisthis? It’s my wife’s[coat]. It’s mywife’s.
If two people own something together, use an 's after the second person
only.
Joe and Mary's car is new. (Both Joe and Mary own the car.)

If two people own two separate things, add 's to each name.

Laurie's and Megan's nails are painted the same color.

Youmay find that certain names ending in s add only an apostrophe. That rule is somewhat
old-fashioned. However, some names, such as Jesus, Moses, Achilles, and Charles
Dickens(historical names that end in a z sound), can end with either an apostrophe or 's.

Jesus’s parables were instructionalstories.

THE POSSESSIVE USED IN PLACES
The possessive is also used to refer to shops, restaurants,
churches and colleges, using the name or job title of the owner.

Examples:
