 Relation got scattered when China attacked India in 1962.
 It took 14 years to resolve the grudges.
 In 1976, the relations were once again established.
Cultural facts about China

 They’ve very exact rules about human relationship.


 Proud of their culture and the concept of Zhonghua.
 Correct names, correct placement & correct etiquettes
are paramount to the people of China.
 The written word is the highest art form.
 Very well aware about other cultures.
 Avoid political comments.
 1.2B people speak one or more variety of Chinese.
 A collective society and not individualistic.

costume and trappings was
established in the Han
Dynasty (206BC-220AD).
 The yarn-dyeing,
embroidering and metal-
processing technologies
developed rapidly in the
period, spurring changes in
costume and adornments.

traced to the Indus Valley
Civilization or earlier.

clothing made up of locally
grown cotton and silk.
 Taking the instances of the
sari to that of turban and
the dhoti, the traditional

various ways.

considering that the

subarctic in the northeast.

consisted of legumes,
vegetables, fruits, grains,
dairy products, and honey.
 Staple foods eaten today
include a variety of lentils
whole-wheat flour, rice, and
pearl millet, which has been
cultivated in the Indian
subcontinent since 6200
BCE.
 Over time, segments of the
Consumption of beef is
taboo, due to cows being
considered sacred in
Hinduism.
