Present Perfect Tense is used to express finished events that

Present Perfect simple with already

• Already means that something happened earlier than we expected.

• With Present Perfect already usually goes after have or has and before the
main verb.

• Use already in positive sentences.

Present Perfect simple with yet

- “Yet” is used for something we expected to have happened but has still not
happened.
- Use Yet in negative and interrogative sentences.
- “yet” is generally found at the end of the sentence.

- Example:

Has the train arrived yet?


Have they finished their homework yet?
Jacob hasn’t left his job at the hospital yet.
I’m really hungry. I haven’t eaten yet.
Present Perfect simple with Just
“Just” is used for actions or events that occurred shortly before or
not long ago.

We can use just with the present perfect simple to say that an
action happened a very short time ago.

He has just gone to school.
