5. Sins vs. The 1st Commandment:
a. Idolatry – worship something or someone other than God.
b. Divination – special power to predict the future.
c. Superstition – wrong belief.
d. Sorcery – use of magic with the assistance of evil spirit.
e. Sacrilege – using something sacred in a wrong way or
dishonoring sacred persons like clerics and
religious places like Church and sacristy.
f. Simony – buying or selling of spiritual things
g. Atheism – denying the existence of God
h. Agnosticism – is the view that the existence of God is
unknowable.

testimony or falsifying to tell the truth.
c. Profanity - The sin against faith which rejects all
teachings of Christian faith.
d.Cursing – calling down punishment on others
e.Blasphemy - An insult or curse against God, His
saints or sacred persons and things.

they have assisted us during our infancy and
