RATIONALE:
CQI is a vital component to the health care arena considering that it is one of the core

competencies of healthcare workers. It helps implement new changes in the life long on
care of individuals and is used to develop guidelines that provide the most optimum level
of care. Thus far, CQI focuses on developing and promoting high levels of standards in
the following areas: high quality management of patients, developing advancements that
aid patients in recovery, developing standards that help reduce the numbers of disease,
promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing the onset of illnesses, helping to instill
techniques and treatments that increase the quality of life in patients and quality
improvements.

OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the program, the participant is expected to:
1. Identify problems and issues facing health care organization and its ethical
considerations.
2. Develop innovative or effective strategies for responding to changing conditions.
3. Evolve strategies for fact-finding, performance measurement, and analytical activities
related to planning, information needs and data gathering.
4. Discuss the relative merits of Eight (8) Steps Methodology approaches to quality
improvements.
5. Demonstrate the ability to accomplish a research utilization project within a team
structure.

Mechanics of the Program:


1. Intended Participants: Forty (40) PNP Health Service personnel.
2. Scope and Duration: The training is conducted for two (2) day of lectures,
discussions, group dynamics, workshops. October 16-17, 2019 (8:00 AM-5:00PM)
3. Basis for Evaluation:

Participation in all activities - 20%

Total= 100%

4. Certificate: A certificate of attendance will be given to participants after completion
