 Introduction
The Group 2 researchers will be conducting
a study about the “Effects of Social Media to the
study habits of Junior High School Students in
Tabunan National High School”.
According to a reliable source on internet
Social media pertains to any website that allows
social interactions. It is important to
communicate with people, share or ask
information and follow, evaluate, interpret the
events for everyone at the present time.
 Purpose
The main purpose of this study is to
determine the effects of social media to the
study habits of Junior High Schools students in
Tabunan National High School. This study
reflects on the time each student spent on using
social media and studying.
 Goals and Objective
This study aims to determine the effects of social
media to the study habits of Junior High Schools
students in Tabunan National High School.
Specifically, this study seeks to answer the
following questions;
1. How long students spend time each day in:
1.1. Studying
1.2. Using Social Media (Facebook)
2. What are the study habits of the students?
3. What is the effect of this social media on the study
habits of Junior High School students in Tabunan
National High School?
 Methodology and Timeline
The researchers will ask permission to the school
head to conduct the study. Right after its approval, the
researchers will ask permission to the class advisers
of each sections to excuse the respondents.
Thereafter, the respondents will be gathered at the
library. Before the questionnaires will be given to the
respondents, they will be informed about the purpose
of the study, that there are no wrong answers for each
questions. That their honesty is the only thing required
in answering the survey questionnaire .
Questionnaires will then be retrieved after the
respondents finished answering it. The study will
consume time for about two weeks.
 Benefits
The result of the study will be of great benefits to the
following:

Students. The results will make the students aware

on how social media greatly affects their study, thus
make them realize to set limitations on using it.
Teachers. This study provides the possible reasons
why students lessen their time on studying.
Parents. This will help the parents to develop a plan
of action that will help their children balance and
manage their time on using social media and studying.

The researchers need the full support of

the school as well as the parents of each
members of the group.
