BACKGROUND
There are some new project regulations made by house of representative as known as DPR and most of people in
Yogyakarta disagree with those and #GejayanMemanggil was an action to express it. #GejayanMemanggil was held along
the Colombo road, Colombo junction, Gejayan street. So many people from students until lecturer joined this action. We
found some college besides UII such as UMY, UGM, UPN, UMM (Magelang), and UNES. There are some universities did not
give permission to their college student but we found some lecturers give permission to their college student, even they
would give “A” to their student if they joined the action.

Urge the government and the House of
Representatives to revise the recently
passed KPK Law and reject any
weakening of corruption eradication
efforts in Indonesia.

Encourage the democratization process in Indonesia

and stop to arrest of activists in various sectors.

Mas Aldy hoped that this kind of action will be
continued until the demand is accepted and
approved and he also hoped from this action
it would increase some people to be dare to
fight. He said, “So many smart, honest, and
care people here, but Indonesia needs a brave
person who dares to fight.”

COMMUNICATION AS ONE WAY PROCESS.
Submitting directional messages from someone (an institution) to someone (a group) either
directly or through the media.
From the prosecutors (college students, activists, and citizens) to the government. The college
students demonstrated
about 7 demands to the Indonesian Government, they are: the changing of RKUHP, the revision of
UU KPK, environmental issues, RUU of employment, RUU of land, RUU of PKS, and
criminalization of activists.
