 What is Rate Distance?

• Rate distance determines the distance between

locations.
• Only certain transport modes require a rate distance.

 Distance Types

OTM can retrieve distances in these ways:

• Lookup
– OTM uses the specific distance value entered into OTM or
supplied by an external distance engine.
• Estimate
– OTM estimates the distance based on the
latitude/longitude and other values entered into the rate
distance.
