The generation and disposal of waste in large quantities has created a greater
concern over time for the world which is adversely affecting the human lives and
environmental conditions. Wastes are the one which grows with the growth of the
country. Segregation of waste is important for proper disposal of vast amount of
garbage modern society produces in an environmentally sensible mode. People
became adapted to tossing things away and never realize the consequences of their
action. The common method of disposal of the industrial waste is by uncontrolled
and unplanned, and exposed dumping at the river sites and open areas. This method
is injurious to plants, human health and animal life.

3
 Garbage collection system is not well managed in India, people dispose
the garbage wherever possible mostly in the drainages or the river banks.
This has led to huge environmental pollution deteriorating the health of
mankind and the other living beings.
 Due to the lack of knowledge of disposing the wastages, people trash the
garbage in a way they want.
 The decomposition of organic waste in landfills produces a gas which is
composed primarily of methane, a greenhouse gas contributing to
climate change.

4
 Design and develop the model of vehicle which will have the vehicle
safety system of automatic waste separation system.
 Also to fabricate the model of the same which would able to show the
characteristics of systems and working according to need.

5
 An automation of this style not only saves the manual segregators of the
numerous health issues, but also proves to be economical to the nation.
Besides, this system utilizes low cost components for the successful
segregation of most types of waste.
 When installed in apartments or small colonies, it proves to be
beneficial in sorting the waste at the site of disposal itself.
 To minimize human effort.
 To save time.

1)Automatic Metal, Glass and Plastic Waste Sorter.
Author:- Syeda Madiha Samreen1 , Dr. Baswaraj Gadgay , Veeresh Pujari, Pallavi B.V
Here we propose an Automation of Waste material Segregation in scrap industry. This method is
easy and simple solution of segregation of three types of wastes glass, metal and plastic. It is
designed to sort the trash into metallic waste, plastic waste and glass waste ready to be processed
separately for the next process of operation. The method uses inductive sensors for metallic
items, and capacitive sensors to distinguish between and plastic and glass waste. Experimental
results show that the segregation of waste into metallic, plastic and glass waste has been
successfully implemented using the Automation of material segregation (AMS) method.
2)Electronic plastic waste management in malaysia: the potential of waste to energy
conversion.
Author:- N. Othman, L. Mohd Sidek , N. E. Ahmad Basri, M. N. Muhd Yunus
The main purpose of this paper is to discuss the research conducted on electronic plastic waste
which consisted of various types of resin to determine the electronic plastic waste's potential as a
source of energy. The physical and chemical characteristics of the electronic plastic waste are
determined by the proximate analysis, ultimate analysis and the heavy metal content analysis of
the plastic waste resin sample.

 Here we are using arduino uno as a controller. Which control all the
operations.
 Firstly rain sensor check the quality of plastic.
 If it detect good then it will pass through conveyor. There is conveyor
arrangement means through dc motor conveyor will rotate automatically.
 After that load cell is interfaced with the controller. Load cell check the
weight of plastic in grams.
 As per the weight of plastic. IOT module is used to upadate data on web
server. Like u got a coupan/rupees.

Conclusion
The increase in the generation of electronic plastic waste in tandem with the
expanding industrial revolution and information technology requires the best
techniques and management methods to overcome the issue of environmental
pollution and at the same time overcome the problem of
shortage of natural resources globally.
In addition, the best management system also needs to successfully
overcome the solid waste management issue thus solving global pollution
problems and shortage of natural resources such as natural gas and natural
resources. In conclusion, the electronic plastic waste has the potential to
become the next source of energy. Basically, the best waste management
system needs a balance from the social, economical and environmental
aspects.
