PAST
Precambrian is the
earliest part of earth's
history, were the vast bulk
of Earth’s history
occurred-about 88% or
roughly 4.1 billion years.

2
Hadean came
from Hades, which
means “hell”. During
this eon, the ocean
and atmosphere
were formed and the
core, the crust was
also stabilized.
HADEAN 3
The Archean eon lasted
for 1.3 Ga. Earth became
warm but the atmosphere
contained only methane,
ARCHEAN with little to no oxygen.
Most of earth was still
EON covered by water. Continent
formation was presumed to
begin, but not until the
mantle cooled.
4
Proterozoic eon
lasted for 1.9 Ga, lasting
almost half the age of
Earth. At this eon is when
the atmosphere began to PROTEROZOIC
have oxygen, eukaryotes
diversified, multicellular EON
animals appeared, and the
continent began to drift
away.
5
During this era, fossils of
marine invertebrates, which
lived near shallow water, were
formed in sedimentary layers.

During the middle age, life

began to develop:
• Marine life forms had developed
PALEOZOIC
shells.
• Animal began to breathe air and came

out of the sea.
• Plant such as Giant ferns and Marsh
plants
• Reptiles
6
The early middle
Mesozoic era was
MESOZOIC marked by the breakup
of the major landmasses.
ERA The largest creatures
called dinosaurs, existed
this era.

7
During the Cenozoic era,
mountains were uplifted and
new life forms started appearing.
Volcanic activities became
widespread, forming immense
flows of lava and basalt. Warm-

mammals roamed the land. In
this period humans left their
marks on land, as observed in the
stone tools that were used.
