wires cross at regular intervals.

2. Something resembling an openwork fabric or

structure in form or concept, especially:

a. A system of lines or channels that cross or interconnect: a

Local Network
Dimension
I. OBJECTIVES:

1. Gain powerful tools and effective skills

2. Enable to make sound judgements and

correct decision-making.

3. Analyse Local network as major Trend in

the 21st Century.

making tools.
MISCONCEPTION ABOUT
CRITICAL THINGKING

1. Critical thinking is nothing

but the activity of criticism

Defining Critical Thinking

Smith (2003) It is a form of higher order thinking

consciously controlled reflective thinking thought that
draws on, but can be distinguished from, lower-order
cognitive processes like perception, attention and
memory.

Ennis (1991) defines critical thinking as “reasonably

reflective thinking that is focused on deciding what is to
believe or do”

Egan (2005) defines critical thinking in the light of its

important role in problem-solving and decision-making.
Critical Thinking is the methodical analysis of
reasoning. It is about understanding the implications of
inputs (data) and influences (bias) to the reasoning
process.

1. allows us to take control of our thinking rather than

it become hijacked by convenience.

2. Critical thinkers ensures that they think the

greatest clarity and precision of which they are capable.

3. Critical thinkers take the time necessary for making

excellent decisions.

4. Critical thinkers seek first to understand situation

before reaching conclusion.
PERFORMANCE TASK

consider to be the epitome (the ideal representative) of a
critical thinker.

2. Enumerate his/her characteristics that make him/her a

critical thinker.

3. Give situations or events in his/her life when he/she

demonstrated critical thinking.
