ABOUT VIRAGE COUPE

 Aston Martin’s Virage Coupe is a luxurious car fully loaded

with features so as to provide the people a great comfort.
 The first model or Virage Coupe was firstly launched in year
1988 and done the production of same model for six years.
 Here are some photos of old models of VIRAGE COUPE ,down
one is one of latest.
 Now we will se the starting models or variants of VIRAGE to
present model’s information in the following slides............
VIRAGE V8
 The Virage was a large, heavy car in spite of its all- aluminum
body, but the 32-valve 5.3 L V8 engine's 494 N⋅ m torque
elevated its performance to near super car levels. "Acceleration
just never seems to run out", claimed Sports Car International
on a first test. They also praised the "eager and quicker revving"
nature of the 246 Kw engine with its Callaway-designed heads
and Weber- Marelli fuel injection. "Nothing sounds quite like an
Aston V8," they concluded. The 1,790 kg car could reach 254
km/h. The automatic could reach 97 km/h from standing in
about 6.5 seconds. An upgrade to 260 kW was announced at the
1996 Geneva Show.
VIRAGE V8 COUPE

 The production of this model was started in 1996 and after

producing 101 models ,company stopped it producing in year
2000.
 Replacing the defunct Virage. Lacking the superchargers and
the more aggressive body style of its big brother Vantage, the V8
Coupe produced 260 kW and 500 N·m.
VIRAGE VOLANTE

 The Virage Volante convertible debuted at the 1990 Birmingham

Motor Show as a strict two-seater, but a 2+2 version was shown
at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show. Production examples,
beginning in 1992, were all to feature 2+2 seating. Sources claim
that between 224 and 233 products had been produced when the
series ended in 1996. The last 11 example already had the
naturally aspirated 1995 version motor of the later V8 and V8
LWB Volante with the improved four-speed and overdrive
Torqueflite automatic and 264 kW.
VIRAGE VANTAGE

 A high-performance Vantage model of the Virage would

later appear. First shown at Birmingham in September
1992, the Vantage was produced from 1993 through
2000 and, like so many other Aston Vantages, soon
became the only variant available. The Virage name
lasted just a few years, with its final descendants
inheriting the simple and familiar V8 name.
 The design was freshened, leaving only the roof and
doors of the car intact. The Vantage was wider, lower,
and used four round tail lights , and featured new rear
suspension and interior electronics. Like the 6.3, the
Vantage used record-sized 362 mm brake discs and 18
inch wheels.
 The most radical change to the Vantage, however, was inside the
engine compartment. The 5.3 L in 5,341 cc V8 engine now used
twin superchargers. Power output topped the industry at 410
kW and homologated at 436 kW, and torque was equally high at
745 N·m at 4,000 rpm. Top speed was 300 km/h , with
acceleration to 97 km/h taking 4.6 seconds.
 For the 1998 V600, the engine was upgraded to 600 hp 447 kW
at 6,200 rpm and 813 N⋅m at 4,400 rpm of torque. The earlier
version is often referred to as "V550" to set it apart from the
later, upgraded models.
 In 2000, Aston Martin's "Works Service" unit built nine
bespoke Vantage Volantes , one of which was built to long
wheelbase specifications.
VIRAGE V8 VANTAGE LE MANS
 Aston Martin decided to put a memorable end to the V8-Vantage
line with a special model called "V8 Vantage Le Mans".
 Honoring Aston Martin's 1959 victory at the 24 Hours of Le
Mans, the prototype of a limited run of 40 was presented in
Geneva in 1999 on the 40th anniversary of the win. They were
the only Aston Martin to carry the Le Mans name.
 The engine delivers 612 PS 450 kW and 820 N⋅m of torque,
supported by a suspension reinforced with special Koni shock-
absorbers and stiffer anti-roll bars. The interior was reworked
with a gigantic rev-counter, a special Titanium finish on some
parts, and features such as heated windshield, parking radars,
traction control, heated electric seats, and full Connolly leather
upholstery with matching Wilton wool carpets.
 Wheels were the same Dymag magnesium units as seen on most
V600s. Performance included a claimed top speed of 320 km/h
and 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
 The keyholder was in sterling silver and a map from Newport-
Pagnell to the legendary Le Mans track was provided in the
delivery documents.
 Each car was made upon special commission and fitted with a
number plate indicating also the name of the first owner.

VIRAGE COUPE – INTRODUCTION
 In February 2011 it was revealed that a new Aston Martin Virage
would be launched at the Geneva Motor Show. The Virage capitalizes
on the technology from the DBS and unites it with the comfort and
refinement found in the DB9 and Rapide. The Virage was intended to
sit in the narrow slot between the basic DB9 and the flagship DBS.
 Virage, a French word that suggests a bend or shift in orientation, is the
name of Aston Martin's latest sports car. The Virage slots between the
DBS and DB9 and fleshes out Aston Martin's line of GT cars. With
seating for four, it might be cross-shopped against the Ferrari FF — or
a nice house, given its six-figure price.
VIRAGE COUPE exterior

 Aston Martin's familiar six-sided grille sits low across the

Virage's nose; its five aluminum crossbars were inspired by the
automaker's One-77 ultra-exotic.
 Xenon headlights are standard, and their bezels arc well up the
car's snout-like hood.
 The C-shaped taillights — another characteristic Aston Martin
feature — have silver lenses.
 Below them, two tailpipes perch above a body-colored lower
apron
Exterior Features Include :
 Standard 20-inch alloy wheels
 Standard front and rear parking sensors
 Five optional wheel finishes
 Doors open at a 12-degree incline to mitigate curb encounters
VIRAGE COUPE - INTERIOR
 The Virage's leather-ensconced dashboard rakes progressively
toward the windshield, with a metal panel of radio and climate
controls in the center bound by two leather-bound ridges.
 The engine's ignition toggle sits above the center controls,
flanked by buttons to engage Park, Reverse, Neutral and Drive.
 Behind the two rear seats is just 6.5 cubic feet of luggage space;
the convertible Volante drops that to 5.4 cubic feet. Both trunks
include a mounted umbrella.
Interior Features Include :
 Standard Bridge of Weir leather upholstery
 Standard heated seats, navigation system and iPod-compatible
stereo
 Standard 10-way power front seats
 Six optional interior trims
 Optional Bang & Olufsen stereo
VIRAGE COUPE – WHEELS & ENGINE

 The rear-wheel-drive Virage employs a hand-built,

normally aspirated V-12 engine that's mounted aft of
the front axle.
 Advanced mechanical features include a carbon-fiber
driveshaft, as well as carbon-ceramic disc brakes with
six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
 Aston Martin says the Virage can hit 60 mph in
under 4.6 seconds.
Other Mechanical features are:
 490-horsepower, 6.0-liter V-12 with 420 pounds-feet of torque
 Six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddle
shifters
 Adaptive suspension with 10 selectable stiffness settings
 Standard limited-slip differential
