People use social media for many things, such as
socializing, finding and sharing information,
shopping and simply as a diversion. Some of these
activities are fairly neutral while others may cause
strong emotions. Positive connections with people
are important for your mental and even physical
health.
Addiction to social media. People who are addicted to social
media may experience negative side effects such as eye strain,
social withdrawal or lack of sleep.
Stress. If you spend your time researching problems or arguing
with people, you may experience stress, which can have a
negative impact on your health.
Emotional connections. Social media can help you connect with
more people and stay in touch with those with whom you’re
already close. Connecting with people has proven health
benefits.
Information. You can find a large amount of health-related
information on social media. This can be quite helpful. On the
other hand, if you take random advice without doing proper
research, it can also be harmful.
It's easy to harp on the negative effects of social media, but
some say the advantages of social media outweigh the cons.
While that topic is up for debate, “many people have found
weight-loss success and healthy communities with the help of
social media“.
Let's face it, social media makes navigating the gym even
easier. With all of the fitness accounts on Instagram , Facebook
and Twitter, finding a workout to accomplish for free has never
been easier. "Instead of clocking an hour on a recipe site
searching for something anything that looks good for dinner,
on social media. "Searching hashtags, getting inspired by the
social media, often ridiculously gorgeous photos, and seeing if
you have the ingredients lying around in your fridge, is simple.
Period."
Technology can have a large impact on users' mental
and physical health. ... Beside affecting users' mental
health, use of technology can also have negative
repercussions on physical health causing vision
problems, hearing loss, and neck strain. Technology
can cause both positive and negative feelings and
effects on people's lives and on society. Focusing on
the positive you will find that technology is a very
important factor in the growth of humankind in
every way possible. From the very start, technology
made life easier for people.

neck and shoulder pain
Bad effects:
Sleep problems
A 2015 study demonstrated that exposure to the blue light that devices emit can
suppress melatonin and interrupt your circadian clock. Both of these effects can make
it harder to fall asleep and result in you being less alert in the morning.
Changes in Medicine: The skills and dedication of
medical professionals, paired with the newest, latest
technology can only mean better to the very best in
treatment. Advanced research and modern
technology also make it a lot easier to diagnose and
treat illnesses. Even illnesses like cancer and heart
disease.
Apps are more effective at keeping people
accountable for their exercise and healthy
eating habits because they provide reminders, guides
and positive encouragement. Smartphone
apps like 30 Day Fitness Challenge Pro and Strava:
Run, Ride or Swim, although some more
effective than others, hold people accountable,
provide useful tools and encourage them to
exercise and eat healthy
