PERKENALKAN DIRI ANDA
 My full name is Moh Isbat Ali, but in my last certificate is
only Isbat. That’s because of misunderstanding between
my teacher and me.
 Improving my village education is my priority. I plan to
teach young villagers English to prepare them to get
scholarship to continue their study into university. When
they possess a high education, their mindset will change
and they will get a better job with higher salary such as
teacher lecture and business man. By doing this, we break
this chain of poverty. So improving education quality
means improving village finances.
 For now I am collecting every single thing I need such as
link, knowledge and teaching and learning materials.
 I spend a long time to select, design, and evaluate
materials. By doing that teachers can teach easily and
effectively and students can study easily and actively.

 Because I must continue my study to master


degree as a part of my future plans in changing
my village condition but I also realise my family
capacity of finances. That’s why I need this
scholarship as my support.

 It will become a proof and new hope for villagers


that they can still continue their study even they
didn’t enough money.

 I know that you have already met many great


talents here. Who desire to be professional
leaders in the future. However not all of us can
make it. But I hope to be one who can fulfill it.
 I have proven that I can study and work under
high pressure and be successful as I did when I
was composing 3 books for almost 2 years.
 I am sure that I am a persistent, responsible and
dedicated person. I know that this is a really big
investment and I will ensure this scholarship will
benefit not only me but also many people in the
future.

 When I teach various students, I feel that the
things that I possess in my bachelor degree are
not enough and I need more knowledge, insight,
and experience to shape me as a professional and
productive teacher and lecture.

 Having Master degree is really crucial as next


step to enlarge our insight and knowledge that
we have learnt. The knowledge which is
possessed in master degree can be used to
enhance the quality of education in Indonesia.

 I will focus on education, especially in teaching
English to speakers of other language (TESOL).
Because I have a small institution in my hometown,
and I plan to teach young villagers English. Besides
becoming English lecture is my prime goal. That’s
why I need TESOL to maximize my teaching skills.

 I have 2 options for my thesis (1) how could informal


institutions improve village finances and education as
I found in Pare and Waru. (2) how to predict symbols
of an English word without depending on dictionary
really much so that we can pronounce it correctly to
enhance the speaking of Indonesian students.

 Honestly, yes I am ready. But that’s not my goal


to come there. My prime purpose is looking for
knowledge, insight, and experience therefore I
can use and apply it in my hometown.

 Beside that I promise to myself that I will


improve my village condition therefore I must
return to my village.

TAHUN KEDEPAN ?

 In 5 years later, I am going to be an educator to


teach young villagers and be a lecture in a
university in my hometown.

 In 10 years later, I am still going to be an


educator while run my institution and business
such creating a big shop to support my
institution and absorb job hopers in my village.

DALAM BIDANG AKADEMIK DAN ORGANISASI ?
 My daily activity is studying in the class and
gathering with my classmates and juniors
discussing materials.
 Besides I teach fresh collage students English,
four times a week, in my organisation called
BETTER and FEC which have approximately
200 members.
 I also joined HIMA TBI and every year, we make
an English Olympiad covering all of regencies of
Madura to motivate students in learning English.

 Right now, I teach English in Pare Kediri, but I


never think that this is a part of job. I always
regard that teaching is an investment for next
life. If we get salary, it’s just a bonus or reward.
For bonus, it depends on how many classes we
teach.

 I will absolutely resign if I am reading or study at


a university. Because it’s my big dream and I will
give everything I got for it.

 I divide it into 3 periods.

 First, at senior high school, is Banyuanyar


English Branch (BEB) in my boarding school.
 The second, at my university, is English
Association in my collage (HIMA TBI).
 The third, after university, is Global English
(GE) Pare Kediri.

 The most is Global English (GE) Pare Kediri

BAGAIMANA CARA ANDA MENGATASINYA ?

 Honestly, my biggest difficulty is how I can


improve my village condition and prove that the
poor can attain high education even they didn’t
have much money.
 I am going to teach young generations in my
village English and therefore one day they can
master English well. Their English can be used to
apply scholarship to continue their study to
university. When they have a higher education,
they will possess a better job with a higher salary.
 To make them believe that the can continue their
study, I must pass this LPDP as example of proof.

 The Pain, Anger and Sadness when I cannot do


anything, when other people in my village need help.
For instance, they are spirit and want to continue
their study but they did not have enough money, and
in that time I cannot do anything to help. So I must
study and work hard to be successful person therefore
I can do something for them.
 When I am lazy in doing something, I call my mother
just to chat. Because when I hear my mother’s voice,
It will refill my spirit.
KENAPA INGIN KULIAH DI LUAR NEGERI ?

 I desire to read abroad, especially in UK, because

 (1) English education is my previous major, and learning


English from its origin will greatly enhance my English
skills and give me a chance to learn English more. Besides
I like British.

 (2) We cannot deny that the growth of education abroad is


faster than us. By studying abroad, we can gain and
attain knowledge, insight, systems, methods, and
experiences in that country so that we can imitate and
apply in Indonesia when we come back later. So that we
can accelerate the growth of education in Indonesia.
KENAPA INGIN LANJUT STUDI KE
UNIVERSITAS ITU ?

 I crave to study in UCL because UCL is the best


education collage in UK proven by QS world
ranking. Studying in UCL can maximise my
skills and learning. Studying in UCL will give us
great advantages.

 We can also learn and observe the system and


method used by them in maximising their
teaching learning process. Then later we can use
it too in Indonesia.
KENAPA AMBIL JURUSAN JURUSAN ITU ?
APA URGENSINYA BAGI INDONESIA ?
 Teaching English to my student is my passion.
But I realise that my knowledge, skills and
experiences are not enough to shape productive,
skilled students. That’s why I need TESOL which
provides me necessary knowledge and improve
my teaching skill and ability when I teach my
students later. It can also help me become a
professional teacher.
 TESOL will also sharpen and deepen my
understanding of key concepts and ideas, and
enhance my ability to select, design and evaluate
language teaching materials.

 Yes I am always involved in social activity such

 I have done it since I was in the second grade of


senior high school and up to now I am still
teaching English in Pare Kediri. The result is
that many students can be help in doing their
test of school, university, and even job.

contemplated for my next move to continue my

 When I my college announced that I was one of a


student exchange to Thailand. But the most
important is not this announcement but the
effect of it. After hearing that news, villagers
seem to have new hope and spirit to support their
children to have higher education.

 When I see all of my friends accompanied by


their parents at our graduation party but I was
not. I cannot see my father grin at me even I was
awarded as best graduation. Because my father
passed away right before my thesis examination.

SEPULUH TAHUN KE DEPAN?

 For 5 years later I will focus on improving my


village education and young generation
knowledge by teaching them in my own small
institution and becoming a lecture in my city.

 For 10 years later I will focus on business to


support my institution finances and absorbing
unemployed people in my village.

ANDA?
 Of course my prophet Muhammad SAW. Because
he always gives positive thing to everyone and he
never gives up. I desire to be useful person and
give a big positive change to my society, nation,
and country.
BAGAIMANA ORANG LAIN MENILAI ANDA?

 Most of my friends say that I am a persistent,


consistent, humorous, and friendly person. that is
because they see what I have done and how I
associate with them.
APA KELEBIHAN DAN KEKURANGAN ANDA?

 (strength)
 I am persistent, consistent, creative person and I
always desire to ponder to find new solution of
something or problem especially in teaching.

 (weakness)
 I am an introvert person, I cannot trust or be so
close to new people easily.
 I am quite difficult to be invited to trip for
vacation. hehe
BAGAIMANA ANDA MENILAI DIRI SENDIRI?

 I am a hard-work, persistent, and consistent


person. It has been proven by three books I made.
To make those books, I must read Cambridge
dictionary from A-Z for 6 months to collect all of
vocabulary that has advanced level such as B1,
B2, C1, C2.
 I need 14 months more to compose and edit those
three books. The books are designed to help
students learning IELTS, TOEFL, Speaking,
Writing, Reading, and Pronunciation.
TIPS MENULIS ESSAY IN ENGLISH
 Ide harus original. Tidak boleh meniru ide orang lain. Kalau ide
kita sama dengan ide orang lain, maka tunjukkan perbedaannya
 Penyampaian ide dalam essay haruslah runtut, tidak bertele-tele
dan tidak terlalu melebar.
 Pemilihan dan penggunaan Vocab, Ini sederhana namun banyak
Essay dan CV yang gagal atau tertolak disebabkan hal ini:
(1) Penggunaan Vocab yang Informal dan hal ini akan dianggap
kurang sopan.
(2) Penggunaan Vocab yang memliki level rendah seperti A1 atau
A2. Perlu diketahui bahwa Vocabulary dalam bahasa inggris
melilika 6 level yaitu: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, dan C2 (Beginner,
Elementary, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced, dan
Proficient). Artinya semakin tinggi vocab yang kita gunakan,
semakin baik pulalah kualitas Writing dan Speaking kita.
Kosakata Kita Akan Menunjukkan Wawasan Kita. Semakin
baik dan bagus kosakata kita, maka semakin terlihatlah
wawasan keilmuan kita. Dan hal inilah yang akan membuat
penguji atau penyelenggara yakin bahwa kita memiliki keilmuan
atau wawasan bahasa yang mempuni untuk lanjut ke luar negeri
Aamiin.
 Penggunaan Grammar baik dan benar. Untuk yang satu ini kita
bisa meminta bantuan pada teman kita yang faham grammar
untuk memeriksa tulisan kita.
