PGPR atau RPTT
((Rhizobakteri Pemacu
Tumbuh Tanaman)
berpengaruh terhadap tanaman
baik secara langsung maupun
tidak langsung.
Pengaruhnya secara langsung
adalah kemampuan
menyediakan dan memobilisasi
penyerapan berbagai unsur hara
dan mengubah konsentrasi
fithothormon pemacu tumbuh.
Keuntungan tidak langsung
adalah kemampuannya
menekan aktifitas patogen
dengan menghasilkan berbagai
senyawa atau metabolit seperti
antibiotika.
Fungsi dan peran menguntungkan dari PGPR atau RPTT :
a. Merangsang pembentukan hormon (ZPT) IAA, auksin,
giberelin, sitokinin, etilen dll,
b. Menekan penyakit tanaman di sekitar perakaran dengan
antibiotika yang dihasilkannya (glukanase dan kitinase),
c. Melarutkan meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur P dalam tanah,
d. Meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur Mn (Mangan),
e. Melarutkan unsur sulfur (S) dan meningkatkan daya serap
tanaman terhadap unsur tersebut,
f. Meningkatkan daya serap tanaman terhadap unsur Fe,
g. Meningkatkan penyerapan unsur nitrogen (N),
h. Menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangbiakan penyakit
perakaran,
i. Menjadi pesaing patogen dalam mendapatkan makanan
sehingga populasi patogen berkurang,
j. Menghambat proses penuaan dini tanaman dengan cara
menghambat produksi etilen (zat yang menyebabkan tanaman
cepat tua dan mati),
k. Meningkatkan populasi bakteri dan jamur menguntungkan.
Contoh PGPR-langsung
Ada 6 mekanisme
PGPR yi:
1. Fiksasi nitrogen
2. Produksi hormon
3. Membantu dalam
nodulasi
4. Pengambilan
nutrisi
5. Produksi siderofor
6. Pengendalian

2. Produksi hormon tumbuhan
Pengatur Pertumbuhan
Tanaman (PPT)
Berupa substansi (bahan)
organik (selain vitamin dan
unsur mikro) yang dalam
jumlah sedikit merangsang,
menghambat atau sebaliknya
mengubah proses fisiologis
(Wareing dan Philips, 1978)
PPT dibagi 2 yi: a) eksogen
(berasal dari luar) , b) endogen,
diproduksi dari bagian dalam
tanaman dikenal sebagai
hormon tumbuhan atau
fitohormon.
Seringkali pasokan
fitohorman secara alami di
bawah normal sehingga
dibutuhkan pasokan dari
luar
Fitohormon bekerja secara
sinergis dengan hormon-
hormon lainnya dalam
menimbulkan suatu respons
Pada dasarnya PPT
endogen atau eksogen
menghasilkan respons
tanaman yang sama
Kriteria dikatakan sebagai
fitohormon (Franklin et. al.,
1991) yaitu :
a. Tempat sintesis
berbeda dari tempat
aktivitasnya
b. Respons dihasilkan
oleh jumlah yang
sangat kecil
c. Respons berbentuk
formatif dan plastik
(tidak terpulihkan)
misalnya respons
tropi
Definisi
Fitohormon merupakan suatu zat organik yang
dihasilkan dalam tumbuhan tingkat tinggi secara
alami yang mengatur pertumbuhan atau fungsi-
fungsi fisiologis lain dan bekerja pada suatu
tempat yang jauh dari tempat pembentukannya,
dan aktif dalam jumlah yang kecil.
Hormon merupakan suatu zat yang dibentuk
pada suatu bagian dari organisme, diangkut ke
bagian organisme lain dan mempengaruhi proses
fisiologi tertentu
Hormon tumbuh adalah suatu zat yang dibentuk
dalam sel tertentu yang diangkut ke sel lain dan
dalam jumlah yang sangat kecil mempengaruhi
proses pertumbuhan
Fitohormon dan fungsinya
Fitohormon dibagi menjadi lima kelas yaitu:
1. Auksin
2. Giberelin
3. Sitokinin
4. Penghambat pertumbuhan
5. Etilen
1. Auksin
1.1 Metabolisme auksin
Basiptal
2. Giberelin

NOD FACTORS
• Rhizobia in response to
flavones release Nod factors
• Nod factors are sugars with
specific signalling functions
• Nod factors signal to a
legume that Rhizobia are
present in the soil and ready
to live in nodules

How plants take up mineral elements from soil
A. Bulk flow: Uptake in the transpiration stream
Nutrients diffuse to regions of low concentration
and roots grow into and proliferate in soil zones
with high nutrient concentrations (horse manure
in sand).
Dominant in mineral soils:
H2O OH- + H+
The concentration of dissociated water in freshly-distilled water is
10-7 M. This is used to describe acidity-alkalinity, originally called the pouvoir
Hydrogéne, which we know now as pH.
The root hair cells of plant roots secrete H+ into the water around nearby clay
particles. These smaller H cations replace the larger macro- and micro-nutrient
cations:
2H+
Ca2+
The released cations are now available for uptake into roots.
In this summary occurrence of H+ in soil water
is shown as the result of respiration of CO2
and disassociation of carbonic acid H2CO3 that
forms

Apoplastic and symplastic transport
Recall transport of sucrose from photosynthesizing cells to phloem
Water can then be drawn into the root from the soil by
osmosis, the endosmotic root pressure. This can be
sufficient to force water up through the xylem and may be
particularly important when there is not a strong water
potential gradient due to transpiration
