    seismic waves. Most
    earthquakes are
    produced along faults,
    tectonic plate

    mid-oceanic ridges.

    Earthquake events organized according to depth (yellow (shallow) = surface to 25
    kilometers below the surface, red (intermediate) = 26 to 75 kilometers below the surface,
