A CASE STUDY ON THE

ADAPTIVE BEHAVIORS OF
GRADE 11 STUDENTS
THE INTRODUCTION
Since the adaptive behavior of Grade 11 students was the
prominent exertion or the most noticeable ethics, it becomes
much easy to do a research and gather data about it. The
researchers’ rationale for the chosen study is to solely understand
how G11 students accommodate to other students. And for them
to know how they decently behave with their colleagues. Also,
they can give some simple but accurate data and explanation
about how they live in such society. The researchers conducted
this research because it can potentially lead to the response or
reason of some students on some trouble they have got that
results to absenteeism.
THE PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to better understand
the adaptive behavior of Grade 11 students. The
researchers aim to know everyone’s opinion and
how they respond in certain ways. This study
will help the researchers find out how the
proponents conduct such behaviors.
What are the adaptive behaviors of Grade 11
students?

How do Grade 11 students act upon their

misunderstandings?

How do students behave when it comes to their

responsibilities inside the classroom?

better.
THE RESEARCH DESIGN
The most applicable research design to the research
project is a case study. It enables the researchers to
understand and get more information about the
students' adaptive behaviors. Also, it is because the
research study indicates the in-debt discussion
about the habitual behaviors the proponents have
done in order to understand how students behave
while they are in school.
THE METHODS AND
INSTRUMENTS USED FOR
THE STUDY
The method the researchers used to gather data to
answer to research problem was surveying through
open-ended questions. The researchers conducted
surveys room by room and gave them few questions
regarding the research problem.

Each question corresponds to an item which leads to

answering the research problem. The researchers
used questionnaires with a psychological tool which
is a laddering question technique which helps them
have an in-depth understanding and answering our
questions.
The researchers chose these methods and
instruments for they are the most appropriate and
reliable for the proposed study. And aside from
these, it is much convenient, intuitive and the
straight forward thing to do.
The parts of the instrument used are the questions
which are interconnected to one another. This
connects to the gender variable because it enables the
researchers to know which adapts better between the
male and female students. As for their track, it is
because the greater they adapt, the greater they bond
which allows them to enjoy their chosen track more.
And as for the academic performance, it is because
their general average affects whether they’ll behave
positively or negatively.

The researchers used a descriptive rating scale

because the answer were elaborately explained. This
allows the respondents to better explain their sides.

Through the study, the researchers were able to find
out that most Grade 11 students adapt positively. They
prefer to hangout and communicate with their
colleagues and they choose to respect and treat their
classmates as a family rather than having their own
world and completely isolating them. And of course,
some do not care about having any good relationships
with other.
The researchers therefore conclude that Grade 11
students understand their classmates’ behavior more.
They always choose to consort to other’s behaviors
rather than having their colleagues do so. For them,
what matters most is respect and having quality time to
know their classmates better. To sum it up, most Grade
11 students were extroverts.
The researchers recommend the school to inform and
educate the students more about these behaviors
(especially the worse ones). By doing such, some
fights maybe prevented because students will be able
to understand their colleagues. The school can provide
programs or activities for team building.
