Mr. Vinod Kaushik - Scientific Officer and Deputy Director at


Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS),
Defence Research & Development Organization, Delhi.
His area of specialization is of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear
decontamination and Emergency Management. He has played a lead role in
establishing CBRN training systems at INMAS- DRDO and contributed in the
development of a self-usable decontamination formulation referred as
“REMOCON”. More than 7000 responders have been trained / sensitized in 59
training courses and 14 workshops in the institute till date. He has also developed a
radio-communication system for first responders to work in contaminated
environment while using CBRN face masks. A field compatible CBRN agents
protected mobile whole body counter was developed by him. A high through put
Radiochemical Analytical Facility based on inductively coupled plasma mass
spectrometry has also been setup at INMAS under his purview. He instrumental for
generation of many field manuals, glossary, brochure, CBRN awareness manual in
INMAS DRDO. To his credentials he has published 16 research articles in national
and international journals, 15 concepts, 05 methodologies and 05 products.

Dr. Himanshu Ojha is currently holding position of Scientist E


at Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS),
Defence Research & Development Organization, Delhi.
He is working in the area of CBRN defence for design and development of chemical and
radiological agents’ detection and decontamination development. Developed a wet
decontamination nanoemulsion for radiological agents and Dry decontamination wipe
for chemical and biological agents’ contamination. He has contributed for the
development of an effective hydrogel based on silver nanoparticles has developed for
pre-hospital care. He had identified lead compounds for reactivation of acetylcholine
esterase affected by nerve agents. He is also an active member in Quality, Reliability and
Safety cell of INMAS. He is an expert in fluorescence, Circular dichroism, Isothermal
titration calorimetry, HPLC and in-silico studies. He has been contributing as OiC of
annual CBRN trainings and nodal officer for Airport CBRN trainings, trained 722 non-
health responders and 218 medical doctors and 300 airport emergency handlers and
prepared 12 airports and 04 seaports CBRN compliant. He has filed three patents, 30
research publications in international journals, edited one reference book for CBRN
courses and One book chapter for book of Elsevier publishers.
