What is an Interview?
• The word interview comes from Latin and middle French words
meaning to “see between” or “see each other”.

• Generally, an interview means a private meeting between people


when questions are asked and answered.

• The person who answers the questions is called in


the interviewee. The person who asks the questions is called an
interviewer.

• It suggests a meeting between two persons for the purpose of


getting a view of each other or for knowing each other.

Telephonic Interview

• A telephonic interview is an interview for employment conducted on


the phone.

• Telephone interviews are often used to screen candidates in order to


narrow the pool of applicants who will be invited for in-person
interviews.

• While you're actively job searching, it's important to be prepared for


a phone interview on a moment's notice.
Tips To Attend The Interview

• First and the most important thing you need to do is select a


place which is quite and where there is no one to disturb.

• Make sure your phone network is proper, you definitely don’t


want your interview to go bad because of network issues.

• Do not eat, drink, chew gum, or do anything of that sort during


the interview process.

• Make sure to inform your family and friends not to call you
during the slot that you are expecting an interview call.

• A group interview should not be confused with a panel


interview, which is when multiple interviewers screen a single
employment candidate.

the world and hence there is no geographical constraints, is time
efficient and easy.

• Some of the software's used for this interview are Skype, Face
time, etc.

characteristics of a candidate.
