What is Networks?
A network is that group
of people with whom we
interact everyday.
Hierarchy-actors in the networks can pull their investments in social
rela-tions by establishing rela-tions witha diverse set of groups in the
community(preferably groups that are not connected to each other),
rather than establishing all of their relationships with members of
one group.
Interdependence-the ties in the network can be useful in facillitating
change and reform. Interdependence facillitates cooperation and
creates social capital necessary for the progress of the community.
Embeddedness-the networks of relations within which each person
is rooted include family, friends and acquitances.
Our human existence and relationships
are nested in both local and global
networks that constitute meaning and
action.
In an increasingly interconnected world,
we can understand ourselves only to the
extent that we understand others.
