This document discusses aluminum, including its processing methods of extrusion, casting, and rolling. Extrusion involves heating and squeezing aluminum through a die to create a desired shape. Casting uses molds to shape aluminum. Rolling gradually reduces aluminum thickness. The document also describes aluminum's characteristics such as being lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and recyclable. It lists several aluminum section products including sliding doors, hinged doors, and sliding windows.

(1731685) PROCESSING OF ALUMINUM Extrusion Casting Rolling
Extrusion: A solid aluminum cylinder called a billet (available in a variety of
alloys, pretreatments and dimensions), is heated and squeezed through a die with a shaped opening to create a desired profile. Extrusions are widely used in construction, road and rail applications.
Aluminum bars of different sizes and with
varying anchoring options Casting: Using either sand casting or die casting techniques, the aluminium is shaped according to a mold.
Aluminum and copper base alloys are
produced in the cold chamber machine Rolling: Aluminium passes through a hot-rolling mill and is then transferred to a cold-rolling mill, which can gradually reduce the thickness of the metal down to as low as 0.05 mm.
Rolled products are categorized as either foil (less than 0.2 mm thick), sheet (0.2-6 mm), or plate (thicker than 6 mm).
An aluminum fabricator may need to be
skilled cutting and welding using an oxyfuel torch. CHARACTERISTIC OF ALUMINIUM
Light weight and high strength and flexible.
All aluminum are used in construction. It resist corrosion by water, snow and moisture without any coating. Non corrosive and non toxic so used for both indoor and outdoor application It dose not strikes spark nor get brittle under extreme cold or heat. High scrape value. Aluminum can be recycled easily. PROPERTIES OF ALUMINIUM
1. It is a very good conductor of heat and electricity.
2. It is a silvery white metal with a bluish tinge and it exhibits bright lusture on a freshly broken surface. 3. It is a non-magnetic substance. 4. It is highly resistant to corrosion. 5. It is light in weight, malleable, and ductile. 6. It is very soft. 7. It possesses great toughness and tensile strength. 8. Readily dissolves in HCl. ALUMINIUM SECTION SERIES 704 - ARCHITECTURAL SLIDING DOOR
Door panels will accept glass up to 13.52mm
thick single glazed or 20mm and 24mm double glazed using special rails and stiles.
Variety of bottom rail and mid rail sizes are
available and tall, square bottom rail is standard.
These doors can also be fitted with concealed
roller screens or sliding fly doors COMMERCIAL HINGED DOOR - SERIES 50
Four mid rail options 50mm, 115mm, 125mm
and 200mm deep. Wide Stiles are available to suit wide back set locks. Series 50 Hinged doors will accept glass up to 10.38mm thick. Series 50 Hinged doors with 50mm thick stiles are significantly stronger than industry standard 44mm thick doors. RESIDENTIAL SLIDING WINDOW - SERIES 506 50mm frame, high performance residential sliding window.
Can be re-handed after installation.
102mm frame extender available.
Fly screens tuck into the head and sill, held
by nylon clips on the sides with no rivets THANK YOU
