Divisible by 2
• An integer N is divisible by 2
if the last digit is even (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8);
• An integer N is divisible by 3
if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3;
• An integer N is divisible by 4
if the number formed by the two last
digits is divisible by 4;
• An integer N is divisible by 5
if it ends in 5 or 0;
Examples:
• 123,456 is not divisible by 5, because the
last digit, 6, is not 0 or 5.
