DEFINITION, HEIGHT LIMIT FOR STRUCTURAL SYSTEM
 Tall Building : Reinforced concrete buildings of height greater than 50 m, but less than or equal to
250 m. In case of conflicts, clauses given in this standard shall be applicable.

IMPACT
• STRUCTURAL SYSTEM needs to be decided which might impact the architectural layout
• For Heights > 100m, structural system like Framed tube/perimeter frame with structural wall have to
be adopted.
• Schematic to be undertaken prior to GFA

NEW PROVISIONS IMPLICATION


1 Minimum grade of concrete shall be M 30 instead of M- Slight impact on cost ~ Rs. 5/-sft
