357-05 Regeneration Circuit Operation

The regeneration valves are fitted in the Lift/Lower

(2) & Extend/Retract (1) hydraulic circuits.

The function in either circuit is the same.

Their function is to provide smooth & fast operation

of the hydraulic cylinders.

No adjustments can be made.

No flow from the lift control valve.
Regeneration spool remains in its central
position (Spring Loaded ). No flow to the
cylinders.

When lift is operated, oil will flow through
the valve to the lower chambers of the
cylinders.

The oil displaced from the upper chambers
of the cylinders will be diverted into the lower
chambers of the cylinders. This flow adds to
the flow from the lift control valve to give a
faster lift speed.

When the pressure in the lift line reaches
200 bar the regeneration valve will move
across to allow excess flow from the top
chambers back to tank.

For lowering the valve moves to allow the oil
from the lower chambers of the cylinders to
return to tank. The lowering is gravity
influenced, some oil will flow into the top
chambers to prevent any cavitation.

357-05 Pilot Operated Flow Valves (Lock Valve)

357-05 Pilot Operated Flow Valves (Lock Valves)
Operation

The right hand

cylinder is pilot
operated & can be
adjusted.
The left hand is a
slave valve.
