 The word essay derives from the French infinitive essayer, "to
try" or "to attempt". - an effort
 A piece of writing with a focused subject of discussion

 Denotes clear, brief, accurate, summary or gist of a passage.

 1/3rd of the given passage
 Given precise may be of more than one paragraph*

 Count the words
 Divide them by 3
 Read the passage
 Have/ Get the main idea/ theme/ title
 Read and point out relevant sentences
 Rough Draft/ 1st draft:
