• Chapter containing multiple category should be align in order as in the book. For
example, If in book “problem” category comes first and “Question” category comes
second then it should be written as 1: 1P - 4P; 1Q - 4Q. Basically FIFO (first in first
out) rule.
• If in case, any category in the chapter contains “match the following” as well as
group activity questions, it should be denoted as one question only. Please have a
look on below screenshot.
• Here, In 2.3 section of chapter 2, there are “match the following questions” from
75ES till 80ES, hence it was written as “1ES - 74ES; 75ES80 - 75ES80; 81ES - 90ES”
and for group activity in next image it has been considered as “625115-R-1GA5”
NOTE :
• Give one space after colon, semicolon, before and after hyphen.
• The category (PE, RQ etc.) should not be repeated within the chapter.
• Do not denote any two category with a same suffix.
• Make sure that you don’t put space further once you are finish with the categories of question in each section.
Note: Similarly, proper naming should be done in order to reach the end user.
• Alphabets used in the text file should be in UPPER CASE only.
• If a problem type sequence 1P to 50P exist without 25P, then the break up should be represented as 1P - 24P; 26P -
50P.
• If a problem type sequence PA to PZ exists, the sequence is recognized by the COMIS as PA, PB, PC, PD… PZ.
• Do not use any special symbol in the text file to represent a problem.
Ex:
• Maximum size for chapter name is 5 and for problem name is 6.
Matching type questions should be treated as single unit. Such questions may occur in the beginning or in the middle of the exercise.
Here, the number of questions is 5, but all of them should be considered as a single problem and named as 1M5 – 1M5.
Matching type problems may occur in the beginning or in the middle of the exercise.
Give proper break of the problems, if occurred in the middle.
• If solutions are provided for the odd numbered questions in the textbook, then the even numbered questions should be labelled
as: 1.1: 2E – 2E; 4E – 4E etc.
• Similarly, if solutions are provided for the even numbered questions in the textbook, then the odd numbered questions should be
labelled as: 1.1: 1E – 1E; 3E – 3E etc.
