 Currently waste management is a major problem in our
country .
 Urban areas in India alone generate more than 1 lack
metric tonnes of solid waste per day which is higher than
many countries Total daily waste generation
 Larger metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Bangalore ,
Kolkata , Chennai generate around 9000metric tonnes of
waste per day
 Traditionally less economically developed countries
suffer from poor quality waste management services due
to their lack of infrastructure
 on the other hand richer economics enjoy very
efficient waste management services owing to their
superior infrastructure and community awareness.
 But the major problem in our country is the scarcity
of land for disposal and disposal techniques.
 India suffer from both inefficient waste
infrastructure and increase in rates of solid waste
generation per capita
 The main objectives of our project is to over
come the scarcity of land to dump the waste
 To make waste management efficient and easy
process
 To make the environment look clean and
beautiful
 Preventing diseases due to the open disposal of
waste
 Advanced method of disposing waste
 An automatic lid is provided to open and close the bin
when a person comes near the zone
 The waste is segregated automatically ,where dry waste
and wet waste is separated using a moisture sensor
 Once the segregation is done the waste is dumped to
burning zone where temperature is set to burn waste
according to the type of waste by using electric burner
 Finally the ash is collected in the ash tray
 A chimney is provided for the flow of smoke through a
scrubber which absorbs the effluents
