PROBLEM STATEMENT

 The existing airline reservation system has many shortcomings associated with it. In
the existing system airlines used to set flight reservation levels higher than seating
capacity to compensate for passenger cancellations and no-shows accounting to
overbooking in the system. If a traveller had to make / cancel reservation he had to
visit either the airline or travel agent frequently to do so thus wasting time and
money for all. In the existing system due to non-availability of a central server the
airline and the agents suffered unwanted delays in bookings and payments. In the
existing system integration of different airlines on a single platform was not met.
With the advent of the online reservation system these flaws can be overcome.
 PROJECT GOAL

 To reduce the manual errors involved in the airline reservation process and make it
convenient for the customers to book the flights as when they require such that they
can utilize this software to make reservations, modify reservations or cancel a
particular reservation.
Maintaining safe records.

Reducing manual work.

To complete the project through the provision of good quality custom-

designed travel packages, catering to the client's particular needs.

Constructing such a system that will be able to find all the flights fulfilling
a passenger’s needs.

Enhancing the relationship between customers and airline agencies,

thereby easing the flight ticketing and selling process.

The developed system will facilitate online booking.

Displays a detailed list of available flights and make a "Reservation" or Book a ticket on a particular flight.
Cancel an existing Reservation.
Keep customer records.
Flight destinations and their prices.
Provides an online menu on flight schedules.
Show alternative links to other partner airlines and will have page dedicated to customer queries and replies
Does not allow the customer to modify a particular part of his reservation.
Does not provide the customers with details of cost of the ticket.
