Key Challenges in G.P’s Practice.
1. Diversify Nature of work requires handling of broad range of health problems and managing them in a
patient-centred way.
2. Administrative activities workload.
3. Decline GP incomes, especially relative to specialist income
4. Generalist role requires more complex skills
5. Under-valuing of the generalist role has accelerated the drift towards specialties and semi-specialised
areas of general practice
6. Work force crisis has affected both availability and the duration of consultations required to deliver
quality care.
How to Assure Quality?
• Assuring the quality of education and training
• Identifying where standards are not being met.
• Quality assurance framework shows how we do this and outlines how we interact
with education and training organizations.
• Organizations all have their own quality management processes, which include
monitoring, data collection and driving improvements
Implementation Of Quality Assurance And Medical
Audit: General Practitioners' Perceived
Obstacles And Requirements

Conclusion:
“Well-designed programmes for the implementation of quality assurance and medical audit,
using a variety of different interventions, have to be developed. Such programmes should
include the training of professionals in the concepts and methods of quality assurance as
