CONCLUSIONES
Los pacientes hospitalizados tienen una alta
prevalencia de hiperglicemia.
El adecuado control de la glicemia reduce las
complicaciones médicas en la hospitalización
tanto en la morbilidad como en mortalidad.
Resulta esencial evitar el uso aislado del «sliding
scale » por motivos de eficacia y seguridad.
