 A programmable logic controller (PLC) or
programmable controller is a digital computer used
for automation of electromechanical processes.
 The PLC is composed of two basic sections, the Central
Processing Unit (CPU) and the Input/output (I/O)
interface system.
 The PLC measures input signals coming from a machine
and through the internal program provides output or
control back to the machine.
 Ladder logic, functional block diagram structure text,
instructions list and sequential functional chart are the
programming language used to represent electrical
sequences of operation.
 It is a hard real time system.
ective of the project is to prevent the
to the machine & humans from
auto on-off light for the operator with
p of automatic control system with

way we are going to develop a system

s capable to detect the Fire & light to
e human life and properties.

 Cost Efficient
 Easy to design
 Easy to changing the programming parts.
 The documentation was easy to do.
 Using language is very easy such as ladder
diagram,fuctional block diagram, instruction list
etc.
 Used In Industrial automation.
 Used in Any machine which is controlled by
machine operator
 Limited sensing range
